If I may ask; what do you do for a job that allows you to pay for a 30k sports car at 19/20?

That was my first guess.

Something like that lol

Like many said. If you really wanted a Z you'd get it by any means.
Car it's a long time investment so my advise? DO NOT settle. A friend of mine did and now he's stuck with something he thought he liked it because he simply didn't wanna wait 2-3 more months.
I'm sure everyone or at least most of us here are poor. So the only way of having anything we desire its by loans and payments. A lot people complaint about not financing anything but 90% don't have cash upfront. Also the years goes by so quick man, that you when you actually notice it's been 2-3 years and you've done a few mods without feeling the pockets. Give everything you have As a down payment. Make sure your payments won't go above $350-400 a month and in sure after the first month you'll be good. Camaro ? Not a fan. Not a fan. Beside I love the attention I get with my Z, I see more Lambos and Ferraris than my Z. I love it. At the meets I be the only one or along with 1 or 2 more Z's surrounded by a whole bunch of Hondas (yuck) Suburus Scions. Joe is my man. He hooked me up with my first brand new (Altima coupe) and with the Z too. George be smooth as well. Talk to them, you'll be able to get something my man.

If you live in America...why does no one ever talk about insurance? It's kind of required around here. Factor that into the payment like it's part of the price of the car. I personally started out dying for a Camaro until I called around (even through my own long term company) and the rate for a freaking Camaro was practically the note of the car per month. Take into account I'm over 30, no marriage, no children.
So with that said, what I wanted- SS fully loaded- they quoted base would have been approximately 360 a month with around a 340 insurance payment. My response was I'll buy two piece of crap cars and still make out better.
The end result? I bought a '09 in 2011 fully loaded 27k miles. 400$ a month payment with 120$ insurance. Well within my budget and I love the hell out of it. GG. Hope the insight helps! :happydance:

*Edit for base camaro quote...hell I didn't even try for a fully loaded SS after hearing the base quote. But that was a base 2012 dealership rate with base insurance quote.

Your end result is almost identical to mine. I got a relatively low-mileage '09 for $24K in '12 not because I'm poor and straining the absolute limits of my budget but because it made the most fiscal sense.

This. If you really want a Z, then wait until A.) you find one in your price range or B) you have more saved and it makes financial sense. It sounds like you don't even know what you want. A v6 Camaro and a Z are completely different cars.

i cant seem to find any z's that are white or gunmetal even 2011 for CLOSE to that price.
lowest i got so far was 30k.....

then joe from koeppel nissan said just get a new 2013 for 0apr financing. said it would be the same price as a 2012 with interest but the OTD price is 38k...
im at a loss, i cant handle that right now. what should i do. Im actually thinking of going to see this camaro....

Dare I say try to find a Scion FRS over the Camaro at that price.
Minus the motor to me its the closer to the Z then Camaro.

Minsu 04-04-2013 01:17 PM

i mean i honestly dont even want the camaro its just perfectly sitting in my price range and i do need a new car...

Like i said before im gonna see, weigh my options and see if i wanna make a mistake so early in my life cause im lusting over a car....

all opinions have been read and accounted for by me.

and in terms of insurance im wondering why the camaro is more than the z?

kensin0429 04-04-2013 04:09 PM

Buy A 2k beater save up for the z. Thats what I did . But I bought RX FD and moded the piss out of it while saving for my 40th lol. Dont do what I did ..

dP3NGU1N 04-04-2013 04:27 PM

^Man, rx7s aren't cheap anymore... use to be you can get a pretty clean FD for 7k. Now they're more like 12k.

When I probed my insurance agent about the rates it had something to do with them being all the craze amongst youngin's for one- occupancy was the main factor I believe.
Playing around while in your youth and being ignorant then killing one costs them a lot less than killing four occupants from an insurance perspective. :stirthepot:
