Same with all other lubes/fluids/tires/&c - if it meets Nissan's specs (for lubes, this is usually an API or other standards organization rating), they can't void the warranty.

When you say meets specs are you talking about API 5 or are you talking about weights? Because 75w90 according to my owner's manual doesn't meet the correct oils weight specs.
