Any automatic Z owners walk out their car in Drive or Reverse?

Given that our cars are push start on/off, I have the tendency to exit the car still in gear. Sometimes on an incline or decline . It happens at least

Why it has something to do with the push start button? Sound like you are born to drive 6MT cars. LOL.

I am dead serious, unfortunately. Come to think of it, happens when I'm in a rush and just turn the car off and walk out.

Are you drunk, 16, or just plain stupid? Sorry to be so blunt, but it sounds like you're related to Lindsey Lohan. Perhaps you should have your license taken away together!

Haha, believe it or not your not the only one........ I valet cars and people will leave theirs in reverse thinking they put it in park, turn it off for some reason even though we're just going to drive it off seconds later, and there car starts rolling back, seen it many times.

To say it happens once a week is pretty crazy, I would get into the habit of using the E-brake before exiting the vehicle, peace of mind weather it's in park or not.

I've done the same thing, a few times. It definitely does have to do with the push to start/stop.

Going from the routine of Putting it in park, and then turning the keys to pushing the button messed up my routine a bit.

Man, a bunch of shitty replies in this thread.

Are you socially inept, 16, or were you never hugged as a child?

LMAO!!! Sorry, I was just trolling the thread because it's something I don't see happening especially because the 370Z makes a REALLY annoying sound when you don't put it in Park...
(And why would you make a thread to openly admit you f'd up?)

Hmm. Is your pseudonym secretly a clue to the reason for the problem?

I'm sure I've turned off a car in drive once or twice -- thankfully there's a neutral safety switch to prevent accidents when you get back in the car.
