If I bought a 370Z again I wouldn't choose the touring option again. Not a fan of how the leather wears (not good, in my experience). The cloth seats are high quality and feel like they grip better. They certainly breathe better.

And I would want to add my own sound system, as the Bose is junk.
I don't regret my 40th but I found that realistically the base+sport is better for the money. I paid extra for things like heated seats and heated mirrors (which i don't need in seasonal car), bose (which is ok, but not great), leather which looks nice, but wears easily and even worse scratches very easily.

However, the red interior in my z is full of win.

I can't justify an extra $6-7k for leather seats and a lackluster nav. when I can purchase a better 2DIN and sound system for far less. As for the leather, it's not preferred here in Phoenix for obvious reasons. Is it nice? Yes, but too hot (you can't always have covered parking).

In for pics of your 2DIN.

Tint the windows with ceramic. Love mine, even in 110* heat.

The Corvette has gotten a little better, I'll give you that. However, brown seats - yuck, and the exterior is ugly (see the new Stingray). Chevy is letting the Corvette get away from its roots.

The Mustang, Camaro, Charger, Challenger, etc. all are too boxy and toy-like.

And what's with the electronic e-brake? I don't know if I trust the longevity of that vs. a cable.

Edit: YOU did have the Corvette interior up, then ninja-editted it!

All signs point to an evolution of the current design rather than a revolutionary reinterpretation.

Chances are, if you like the current style of the Z, you'll appreciate the new one also.

You walked into a Nissan showroom lately? Their designs are embarrassing in my opinion. Besides the 370z all their cars do nothing for me, even the gtr is too big and just doesn't scream sex looks wise. You have these ugly jukes and leafs and rumors of mini z"s it's scary to think what's next for Nissan.

really, i like most of Nissan's design. GTR is a car that was designed 6 years ago and still looks great. Juke is suppose to be weird looking, leaf is function over form.

Maxima and Altima I think look great.

Only one I don't like at all is the pathfinder, they made it too soft looking.

The Z and GTR are the only designs I really like. The Maxima has its moments of looking pretty good to me, and the Altima - too many of them on the roads for me to have a positive opinion on. Everything else is kind of off the wall from Nissan to me.

A lot of people lately has been biotching about their 370Z, paint, price, etc.

Like OP said is the best bang for the buck, the power is more than enough to get me in trouble since I don't track or race my car. I just like to drive fast and go in spirit runs.

Defects? every car has that, if you didn't do your homework before purchasing the Z SHAME ON YOU!

I love my Z which is 09 plus got involved in an accident that the total damage was $9K, the car looks and drive like new.

I found it difficult to find a car that checked all the boxes for me. Nothing really needed any significant improvement. It looks great and the only thing that bothered me with the styling is the stock bumper would curve up at the corners making it a bit soft, a front splitter cures that. The engine sounded great before 5krpm, and not so good after, a good exhaust cured that. The brakes only needed some real pads and fluid. The engine overheating issue only really needed an oil cooler.

I couldn't be happier with the car.

Love this car. Looks so angry when the front dips under heavy braking. I'm glad I got the fanged version and none of this LED silliness.
