I'm happy with my decision to get one. Made for a nice replacement for my white S2k...because it actually has this thing called torque.
Only thing I don't like is the outkast feeling I get from the 350/370Z Coupe owners. Almost like I have a completely different car. http://i47.tinypic.com/2vvrzol.jpg |
I would trade you for a day op if you lived a little closer.

Nice looking ride Highway
but for me,why would I want to deal with ripped/ rotting tops, a slower car (more wind drag on a convertible), less secure & less rigid handling vehicle???. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/.../confused1.gif Nope, I'm happy with the coupe. I do understand that a lot of people like convertibles, just not me when it comes to owning them ;) |
I would've gotten a Z4 if I wanted a convertible. In fact, I was considering it at one point.

Verts are an acquired taste. We went with it since it was replacing a very well loved 1992 Miata. I don't regret it per se but its not without its flaws.
Those flaws tend to move to the background from April-October when the top is down 90% of the time. :P The 370 team clearly had the roadster in mind during design vs. the 350. One of the challenges with design is how good the top looks up. The 370 gets a solid B in that area IMHO. A mechanical hard top would have been very hard given the space constraints (not to mention adding even more weight to a porky platform). The only buyers remorse I have is how my wife a year later caught Porsche fever. As good as the Z is...the 981 is better. That being said I drive the Z more then her and I really enjoy the cockpit. I am thankful every day the top goes down. It's a wonderful GT vert for HWY commuting for me, and we will be doing a mid-west road trip in it this summer. I average 22-23 MPG for a reason. :D - b |
Not at all. I would never own a convertible. I do think Nissan shouldve extended the cooled seats from the roadster to the touring coupes though. Of all the Zs, the 370 roadster looks the least awkward, but still awkward none the less.
All these threads are making want to start an "F regret....who here loves their Z" thread.... |
Nope, I kept my S2000 so I'd have a roadster. The Z is my daily driver.
