Tires feel like they vibrate/rub when ....

I have the wheels turned almost all the way left or right. But the weird thing there are times it doesn't do it but when it does the I feel it n my passenger can feelmt as well. I have the 19" wheels...anyone ever experience ths?

svt to 370z 03-20-2013 09:52 PM

yes i do, someone on here said it has to do with the wide tires and cold weather. is it brisk by chance?

DEpointfive0 03-20-2013 09:52 PM

You have to provide us with more infor, tire size, spacers, suspension?

Have you checked your PS fluid level?

forza370z 03-20-2013 10:02 PM

Yes I have that all the time when turning the steering wheel all the way. It must be you just taking out your car from garage or driveway in the cold weather while your tires(especially summer tires) haven't been warmed up yet. It happens because you are driving a rear wheel drive car. It pushes instead of pulls.

EDIT: You must have the same experience when you push the shopping cart in a grocery store while the front wheels are perpendicular to your travel direction. Same feeling. So no panic man.:)

EDIT 2: Of course I assumed you've already checked there is no physical contacts between the tires and the fenders when you turned your wheels all the way in.

EDIT 3: Yes, like someone else has mentioned - Please use the search function first.:) This has been brought up quite a few times already.

Please use the search feature as there are already no less than 5 threads on this very topic.

Short and sweet, no there is nothing wrong with your car. Yes, its normal.

Every morning leaving my driveway lol

jburke26 03-21-2013 08:16 AM

Yep, every morning when i pull into my parking spot at work. Completely normal.

Sorry I didn't search for this, didn't think it was a common thing. It's been cold here since I bought the Car so I guess that's y.
Tires do not rub against wheel well, first thing I thought it could b.
It's definitely annoying when it happens

Thx for the replies

Glambutang 03-21-2013 10:17 AM

Thats because of the cold

FairladyZ 03-21-2013 11:41 AM

Normal

Cold weather, wide tires, the compound of tires

Wheel skips a little and sounds like its rubbing/vibrating

Plenty of threads on this, this subject comes up every month

CDepp 03-21-2013 11:55 AM

DID ANYONE MENTION THE SEARCH FEATURE?!? AND THIS HAS BEEN COVERED?!?

/I'm not going to read the thread if they had
//and I don't search, I have some guys answer in my new thread, and others tell me to search
:roflpuke2:

It has NOTHING to do with cold weather. We never get cold weather where I live (unless 50F is considered cold) and my Z's tires do this too.

Doesn't necessarily have to be weather.

Mine does it in SoCal mornings only and never when it's warm so yeah I think the temperature of the tires has alot to do with it

If you don't agree then tell us what you think it is

Every morning and in parking lots, especially when it's wet.
