Sorry to hear.

I really like how you are handling this, you don't seem to upset.

Anyways why did the tow company take the car away in that matter? Couldn't something else have been done? Put on spares then move the car or something?

Whatever the case the people will get what they deserve. Damn scums

Most wheel thieves carry one with them, your locks will only slow them down a few minutes, I have seen one guy on you tube that put a tow chain and lock thru all 4 mag wheels every night.

I hate to say it but living where you do , your really better getting something that they will leave alone and something you really don't have to worry about getting stolen or damaged while being parked or simply driving in NYC traffic.

On a trip to NYC in my beat up old nissan frontier pickup , I can remember being hit or pushed to the side by a lot taxi cabs in the city, at least 5 times in 3 days, so I can't imagine driving something nice and brand new in that city, in a short tme any decent car will turn to a POS there. Just look at whats parked on the street, slowly your car will turn into one of these.

Your really better off with something like a stripped down automatic versa or a used sentra etc, for NYC.

The other factor is that this will definitly effect your insurance, watch them drop you during the 6 month period, unless you move the car or get something else, right now you are a hi risk for them.

Yea man being a New Yorker all my life you can expect certain things Like never pass a cab on his right or when he sees a fair you can expect him to shoot over in your lane with out a dought but what i seen this morning was not shocking but not expected this particular morning. I refuse to give up tho man. Every day in New York is a learning experience and today i learned i should have parked where i normally park..LOL! You got to keep these bums guessing in the city. I knew that but for some reason i was in my like u said used sentra state of mind not realizing that parking that type of vehicle on a one way street with no security cameras, no police patrols, no house or apartment windows is begging to get my car stolen i fully admit that was a nissan sentra move. But the thing about me is you only get me once i learn and come back stronger must New Yorkers do you have to if you live here.

I got low insurance rates but i know geico is going to f- me when its time re-up. Not just me but all New Yorkers now because its becoming a trend like the honda accords and civis of the 90s once insurance companys find out about a trend that vehicle gets more expensive to insure.:shakes head:

Like many of you, it wouldn't be a pretty sight if I was able to catch 1 or 2 guys in the act. I know many feel its just metal etc etc but its the principle, the violation and the fact that I work hard for my stuff.

Sounds like your insurance will be taking care of you properly

Thanks for stopping buy ive been on this forum all efin day trying to keep my mind stable and non-violent...LOL!!!:tiphat::shakes head::mad::shakes head::mad::tup:

I just had a genius idea. But it will never happen. But it's still cool to think about. So someone develops a super sticky adhesive that goes on car wheels and you can turn the adhesive on or off with your car alarm. So when it's on, if someone sticks their hands on your rims, they are stuck! If the rip their hands off then their skin stays on the rim and you have their DNA! Let's get some funding for this and make it happen!

 LOL! that idea is to good to be posting on a public forum delete A.S.A.P and get to work on it!:eekdance::tiphat:

Not to upset now because the pain is fresh but when i have to wake up at 0400 tomorrow instead of 0445 like i usually do and have to swipe that metro card to get on 2 trains (one i cant use a transfer on ) and have to deal with homeless people begging me for money stinking up the train and singing and dancing for money and people coughing and sneezing in my face and walk a total round trip of 45 min that anger might set in. Thank God im a Christian man it helps me keep my emotions in check or id be driving around right now with my cousin going to every shady tire place in New York i now exactly what the road scuff marks on my rims look, feel, smell and taste like..LOL! Thanks for stopping buy!:tiphat:

F.Y.I i did not get rental reimbursement from geico i deleted it off my coverage 2weeks prior like the dumb a$$ i am...LOL!

I don't know what it is about those dam ray rims but thieves love them. There are rims in my neighborhood that are aftermarket with no alarm system or wheel locks that get by passed. Most be gold inside those rims that we don't know about! LOL!:shakes head:

Used to be a 76ers fan....Dr. J etc...when basketball (pro) was fun to watch that is. Liked the Knicks though too....Walt Frasier, Dave DeBusschier, Willis Reed days! Definately Yanks and Giants though! You sure you want to drive to the game? Unless you have an old beater you can drive, I'd take mass transit if I were you....builds character! Gotta love New York though! I wish I could have lived there for a while. Grew up not far away in New Haven.

Where in NY? That really sucks man, these guys stop at nothing. My budding had his wheels stolen off his Audi parked right under his window in the Bronx:icon14: They didn't take the Yankee paraphernalia, did they? ;)

LOL! no they didn't take my 27 world series license plate cover or my silver NY logo...Sorry about your buddies car, Yea man these guys in the Bronx are real good at what they do I'm leaving as soon as my least expires in august. Going to pay for garage parking like i should have done earlier until then. As you know when the city weather heats up so does crime..Stay safe up their in YO!

LiquidCrewZ 03-21-2013 09:17 PM

Wooooowwwww. That's really shitty. I sadly looked at allot of these pictures with people stealing rims, but I never saw any with the car left on milk crates. That's pretty random and I wonder if you can connect that to anything in the local area. Upgrade your rims and buy wheel locks and never look back

I finally got my car back from the body shop!:excited: They put on the factory wheel locks for me and they did a good paint job on my front bumper. When i got home i ordered a viper 2-way alarm with tilt sensor for 125.00 from amazon which i should have done much earlier.:shakes head: The alarm does not come to my house for three more days so im extremely paranoid because i still park on the street for now, i will move it into a garage when the sun goes down tho. When i get the viper installed i will be parking on the street all the time with the car pager attached to my ear on my pillow at night.Lol Hopefully i can catch one of these clowns when my alarm goes off, i will be right there!:eekdance:

Whats funny about these rays rims is now im seeing them on any piece of shiit car in NYC. Take a look at this altima, you fellow New York Z owners that had there wheels jacked take a closer look because they might be your set.:shakes head::confused::shakes head:

Did your plates read something like "milk4dZ" or "Z4milk"? How about "IZmilk" or just "milkmyZ"? If that was the case, I see why the thieves used milk crates.
I'm just trying to brigthen your day man. Sorry for your wheels. At least you still have your Z. I don't have my Z anymore.

P.S. Before going mad refer to my signature

I've never seen any other car with Z Sport rims before and I'm around BK all the time. I guess depends what part. I try to stay away from the shady side at all costs lol.

Vaughanabe13 04-15-2013 01:19 PM

I don't really have anything to offer but I feel for you, man. I haven't gotten my wheels stolen, but in my Maxima someone broke both front windows (WHY?) and stole my GPS (hidden) and radio during a thunder storm. It feels freaking horrible to have stuff stolen from you. The money is one thing, but that feeling of vulnerability and disgust for humanity is way worse, IMO. Good luck on the path to recovery!

Crackheads in New York will break your window and bust in your car for loose change they see on the carpet ! I dont have the storage cover in the back so i keep a bookbag with my car and put anything a crackhead might wont and put it in my backpack and take it with me.

bigaudiofanat 04-20-2013 05:01 PM

Nothing special about them, any standard lost lug nut key removal tool will take them off.

Also titanium is actually softer than steel.

axmea? 04-22-2013 12:35 AM

Forget tilt sensors and alarms. Get ADOBIE ACROBARK.
