Omg...at last. Starting to lose sleep.

Finally pulled the trigger after many months of thought, research, and reading this god-blessed forum. Black base 6mt with sport pkg, illuminated kick plates (way too cool not to have), painted splash guards, and floor mats. Factory ordered and should be here in beg-mid august. Paid 300 above invoice.

Here is what I own now:

Overall, im very excited and would like to thank this forum for all the awesomeness it brings (both the good and the......occasional sub-par but comical stuff nonetheless). So the countdown starts and I am sure i will be losing some sleep over this. Cheers!

Tim

*Edit: BTW if anyone's looking to buy any nissan and need a very good dealer recommendation, please pm me. Thanks.

Congrats Tim. You trading in the s2k i assume?

Congratulations! :)

Some of the better-looking rims for the S2000. Congrats on your purchase... I think you're going to like a REAL push-button start for a change. ;)

NXTAZEE 07-18-2009 07:48 PM

They have stopped production on 2009's and don't start production for 2010 until October. All new orders are now late November to December, sorry. I ordered my car over 8 weeks ago and was told yesterday that it looks like it will arrive around Xmas or a little sooner, if I'm lucky. The only way you will get your Z earlier than that, is if they can find an existing 2009 model on another lot.

Damn, Tim that was quick. That wan't one of my searches was it?

tbonesteak 07-18-2009 08:11 PM

Frost, yes the s2k is gone and I am pretty sad. I know i'll miss that car for sure.

Alexus, Haha i know...that's exactly what i thought today. I love the keyless go and i hate that on the s2k, u have to hold onto the button til the engine starts. pretty useless feature.

NXTAZEE, this was ordered by another customer back in june. I just got lucky and that guy flaked so i got to take this. it was the exact way i wanted it so things worked out.

Fusz, this wasn't one of your searches but it just happened out of dumb luck. Yeah it was so random but thanks again for all your help!

Very nice Tim. Congrats  . I'm glad we were able to help you research your car. Your specs are perfect! (Black base 6mt with sport pkg, illuminated kick plates (way too cool not to have), painted splash guards, and floor mats) I do regret not getting the illuminated kick plates because on base model it's ugly black plastic! :shakes head: I didn't get a chance to see this before ordering my car since all demo cars were touring model. I also think splash guards complete the exterior look of the car. My 350Z had painted splash guards too.

Well, keep us posted. :hello: Don't forget to share some pics when you get it :pics:

P.S. Did you get sports package or no?

Shunya 07-19-2009 05:00 AM

gratz tim :)

tbonesteak 07-19-2009 05:42 AM

Thanks guys can't wait!!!!! AK, i did get the sports package. I think it's a great bang for the buck.

Do you think you'll miss the convertible? Now that the weather is nice, I sometimes fantasize that I had the roadster instead. The lines of the coupe are so sweet though.

Absolutely yes. There is nothing like dropping the top and winding through the pacific coast highway or a back mountain road on a summer night coasting thru the gears at 8000 revs. Probably the best motoring experience ever. However, i had to balance out the realities. The car isn't very forgiving. Super loud road and windnoise, stiff, absolutely no luxury amentities, super tiny cabin, etc. Z fit the bill perfectly. But yes, i will miss it.
