What tires do you run?

For price and wet weather performance, I love my Nitto Invos. I stepped up a size in width (for the sport wheels) at both the front and rear to 255

For price and wet weather performance, I love my Nitto Invos. I stepped up a size in width (for the sport wheels) at both the front and rear to 255 and 285, respectively. Plus I got 20K miles on my last set of Invo rears vs <10K on the rears with stock RE050s.

PSS are amazing but problem.... OP said he wanted all season tires which they are not. A/S + or Continental DWS are best bet.

I wasn't correcting you, I was agreeing with you. If you realize everyone else in the thread has been saying PSS..... I personally am going RE-11's next set but I live in Hawaii so rain is my only weather concern lol.

I love the PSS. Got them just in time for nice a long drive over the weekend through freeways and canyon roads and all I can say is wow, great tires. You can get 255/35 and a 305/30 for 1300 (or lower) installed if you shop around.

I'm looking at the treadwear rating on the RE11 vs PSS and the PSS seems to have double the treadlife of REs? Is this correct in practice? They seem to be similar price and performance but if the REs wear twice as quickly it seems the PSS would be the better buy.

Someone dispell my ignorance please. =\

Tread wear ratings really aren't comparable across manufacturers. They really don't compare we'll within the same brand, either. But yes, expect the PSS to last a lot longer.

not sure if 'bettery buy' should be based on wear longitivity.

i rather have a short lived great tire vs a medicre tire (not that im saying pss is a mediocre tire, i hear they are great tires) that lasts forever on my sports car.

It's like worrying about mileage or cargo space in the 370.

My Z is not my daily driver. Go ahead and ask me about what my daily driver is! You'll laugh! Anyway, I have Yokohama Advan Sport tires and they are very high quality and super sticky. Not so good in the Seattle rain, though, so I take it easy on the freeway.

Your user name prolly tells us already.

And I like my Yokohama Advan Sport too. The only complain is the road noise.
