clear bra installer-Northern VA/DC
1. I plan to purchase a 370Z Touring/Sport/Manual very shortly and want to have a clear bra installed immediately. Can anyone recommend a quality installer in Northern VA area (Fairfax County)?
2. I'm considering Monterey Blue, Platinum and Chicane Yellow. Does a clear bra look better (less noticeable) on any one of those colors? 3. Do most installers handle 3M and Ventureshield? Is one better than the other? 4. Do they make these as pre-cut kits especially for 370Z, or does installer do a custom installation? Thanks

It's definitely a good investment, it's not noticeable at all unless you point it out to someone. If I were you I would get it done as soon as I picked up the car. Clear Bra your mirrors and headlights too.

I don't have an answer for you, but Northern VA owners represent! Good to see more 370 interest and awesome to see you're in a Mach I. Love the Mustangs!

I live in Stafford so I went to Auto Spa in Woodbridge and they did a nice job on my car, I got the full hood, headlights, front bumper, mirrors. I chose Ventureshield with the lifetime warranty. $1200.00 including 35pct tinting on rear hatch and side windows. total for mine. Others in Northern VA wanted as much as $1800 which was too much. I can't give you any feedback on the installers in your areal. However, you can check out the following for some installers in your area:
nabinternational I believe nabinternational is in Alexandra. There are several in Sterling too. pftfilms clearbra.us/virginia/ |

I forgot to also answer the rest of your questions:
2. I'm considering Monterey Blue, Platinum and Chicane Yellow. Does a clear bra look better (less noticeable) on any one of those colors? Lighter the color the less noticeable your clearbra should be. I have a black Z so its the worst one for lines showing which is why I got the full hood. 3. Do most installers handle 3M and Ventureshield? Is one better than the other? There are several that have both. There is plenty on the internet about the pros and cons of either. Ventureshield, the one I went with has a lifetime warranty whereas I believe the 3M is 5 years, but supposedly warrants the paint underneath should it be chipped. You'll have to confirm that though. 4. Do they make these as pre-cut kits especially for 370Z, or does installer do a custom installation? Was told by my installer that Ventureshield makes pre-cut Kits but many installers have the ability to cut their own. Hope that helps out a little. Good luck. Having either bra installed will be an investment in my opinion to keep your car from getting gouged with chips and such. Pay now up front or pay later. If you're gonna drive the car in the D.C. metro area its a good investment in my opinion. The roads here suck and you have a zillion semis and dump trucks with their gravel falling out all over. Its not a matter of if you'll take a rock, but rather it is when. With a clearbra you'll be able to drive knowing you have something to protect your Z. Good luck! |

When I decide to do the clear bra, I've decided on these guys:
ProShield - 3M and VentureShield Paint Protection Solution ProShield, Inc. 45690 Elmwood Ct. Suite 155 Sterling, VA 20166 The cars they've done and the photos look really good on their page. I know that's not the perfect reason to choose someone but the quality looks good, too. Hope this helps.

^^^ im getting mine done and i called these guys. their price is amazing. 600 dollars for the front kit, i called the D&V guys and they wanted 900 dollars... the price got me. but also yeah their showcase looks great with very expensive cars so i dont think they do a horrible job. plus they got a lifetime warranty which is very nice
