Love, hate, heartbreak
This is a FULL story to my experiences with my previous Nissan Maxima, and on to my current car...
The only one you need to read if you want to know about my current issues is the 4th post... Oh, and this is my biggest current issue: http://www.the370z.com/engine-drivet...-starting.html And my car is a 2009 7AT, sport, touring, with <32k miles It is VERY long, and sorry mods if this should be in the "Gallery" section, I don't really intend to do a build thread or anything... Dealership names will be partially blocked and so will service guy's names Man, oh man, where to begin. Background info on me/moving to TX/car choices:

Hell of a list!
Clunky change into 2->1 when coming to a stop ------ AT? Ditto on this one plus car went into limp mode when, after downshifting to 1st at a light, I tried to shift up to 2nd once green and went into limp. Paint bubbling ------- Yup. Fisheyes, cracking, wet looking spots under the clear...... Gas gauge doesn't show full ------- Ditto. My service advisor recommended I monitor the issue. Car not starting (three times) -------- Once here. Attempted to start it 6 times within 25 minutes. No coolant leak issues on your end? |
Great story Andrew. Sorry for the headaches.
IPT/PPT/TPT ??? ---- LOL! |
tl;dr

so do you know why your cc doesn't work? mine isn't working either lol
|
I've had problems with my 2005 Nissan frontier.. The seats rattle, the tranny is clunky, the paint on the roof pealed off and rusted, the truck rattles and shakes and makes squeaks.
I know for a fact Nissan quality isn't even close to Honda or Toyota |

(I will be forwarding this thread to Nissan so I don't want them to know that I know the reason... THEY need to diagnose it, not like lazy fúcks) |
Ill read all this when I get home in a bit. (09 best year ever)

You know what's a trip...
There are still parts of my story missing... Before the Maxima got totaled, the Houston dealership would fill my car FOR FREE every time I came in. AND in 11.5 months of owning it (3 of those months being back home in LA) the car went through $14,000 of repairs, yes, you read that correctly And about a week or two before taking the 370Z in for the laundry list of problems, we bought a $34,000 Maxima... And after I got the call from prick Mike about the dent, I called the guy we bought our Maxima from and told him what happened (even though I told him I knew it wasn't his area) but he is the second highest buy in the dealership... I did tell him that I will never step foot on that dealership every again, and if the service manager wanted to speak to me, or if he wanted me to bring my car in, that I would gladly meet him at Costco... He also said that the service manager would call me the next day... Which he didn't... |
ANNNNNDDDD... On a side, side note, the guy I talked to at corporate today said, hey I don't know if you have been informed yet. But there is a recall for the steering wheel lock assembly, :roflpuke2:
I told him that I am a part of the forum, and almost nothing passes through my fingers. |

The Japanese REALLY take pride in something that is a symbol for their own country, while I assume that people that work for any Japanese company outside Japan consider there job as merely a job... That and the fact my Maxima was a rental is why I let the problems slide... Thing is... The new Maxima had a door rattle on day one, very slight, but it's still there... |
Andrew, I ended up printing and hard covering that. I called it Nice Guy, **** Car
When can I get this baby autographed? :rofl2: |

*Shítty cars. I actually wanted to change my signature (and I will soon) to: "I'm a prick, trust me. But if you can trust me with that, trust that if you get to know me that I'm not actually a prick" I'm have a shell of prick, but nice once you break the nutcracker out, lol |

Never had any problems with Toyota whatsoever no matter how hard you drive em... I bought my 370Z used at a Toyota dealership and haven't had any problems with it, maybe they injected it with Toyota reliability? I like Nissan now though since I haven't had any problems with my Z :) A lot of dealerships suck in general because they overcharge you up the wazoo for parts and labor and can easily mask their scamming and shadiness because they're supposed to look official/legit What you should do is take your car to a dealership for regular maintainence like oil change etc. then if/when they come back and tell you there's something wrong you write all that down and take it somewhere else that's trusty to have a second look and fixed properly and cheaper |

The Japanese word Nissan(日産) means "Made in Japan" if translate into English. It would be ironic if they are actually NOT made in Japan! LOL. One of my Japanese friend visited me this summer and he said he hates Nissan because it's more like a French owned company now. He denied to admit Nissan is a Japanese product.

FYI - I think you left some names in there. Not sure if you intended to do that, but I'd read through all of your spoilers again and edit them out. (I don't know how I found this, I was clicking around randomly because I was bored hahaha)

had some time to read this and **** dude uve been to hell and back with your car buying experiences
all I can say is maybe you were just in too much of a hurry to buy the Z, you didnt even want the test drive?? LOL. You crazy. HAHAHAH> BUT GOOD **** though,Much respect for keeping it real though you didnt sugarcoat anything in your story all raw and entertaining. :tiphat: |
Quote:
I might have been rushed, but I had already test driven one, and my mentality was "if the bítch is under warranty, who cares?" I bought the ISF on eBay, lol, sight unseen, all I did was call Lexus and lied and said I was a friend of a friend who's buying it and asked if they had the service records, LOL It's one of those things where I don't really like complaining to you guys, but there's a breaking point... And I went from not too close to about 50% past that and I needed to vent? I just needed to tell people what's up. And I'm a no bullshít guy so I don't fück around or give bullshít to people. At the same time, I don't give respect just because, and I make sure I give credit where credit is due. (To friends, family, and those I do business with) DealershiT treats me right, their name becomes dealershiP, I WILL give my good god blessings, point people to their direction and I'll go out of my way to show respect and to make the service guys as happy as they make me. Once my car gets sorted out, I will be gunning for the local dealershit that didn't fix anything on my car... And I think they figured it out that I didn't dent their motherfuckíng car, or they realized I was going to anally pound them if they called me back, because they didn't AND I have the customer satisfaction survey for buying the Maxima... I had agreed to all 10's... Now they might get ALLLLLLL 1's |
