Heated Mirrors...2009 models

Has anyone removed their OEM mirrors to see if the wiring is already there for heated mirrors?

If so, then is there any reason we couldn't get the 2010's mirrors from a dealer / parts store, and stick them in there?

(that said, I don't know much about how heated mirrors are connected or how they turn on/off...)

More than likely it'll be easy to swap on some 2010 heated mirrors onto the 2009's, and if anything, you'd just tie its on/off functionality into the defroster switch.

I'd actually just wire them to the ignition (wire to the mirror adjustment motor). My Audi always had them 'on'. There are a lot of times you won't need your rear window defrosted but the side mirrors may fog.

Me too, this was one of my biggest bitches about the car. My 2000 Dodge Ram has them.

I'm glad I live in las vegas, I dont think i have EVER EVER seen a foggy mirror. Now that I mention it, I dont even know what foggy mirrors look like

Hopefully the wiring is there and already tied into the defrost setting ........ will make for an easy swap.
