Kenwood & Iphone5

I have a Kenwood DNX6980 that I pulled from the 350Z and had it installed in the Nismo. When I had an iPhone 4S, everything worked great. Since upgrading to the iPhone 5, I can't connect the two. I've tried the 30 pin to lighting adapter, using the USB/lighting cord, and nothing works. The phone will charge, but not hook to the tunes or Pandora.

I'd like to keep the unit, it's only a year old. Anyone have a suggestion on how to mate the two?

Wrong section!

It's either gotta have USB, or... Gotta go the "ghettoer" way, and use an RCA input (red/white)

this ^^ or what about connecting via bluetooth? Thats what I do with my S3 and my pioneer unit..

Isn't the Kenwood firmware upgradeable so it can pair with newer phones?

I don't think the firmware is the real issue, it's the BS of the iPhone 5 not having audio/video out... I know that my iPhone 5 with the USB cable works fine when plugging it into my '10 or '13 Maxima

And that's what they stated, and a HUGE reason why their sales weren't as substantial than their previous releases
They SAID they will make some sort of video out cable, but so far, nothing
