I'd stay away from pearls and metallics as they are harder to match if you need a body part resprayed. I'll never by pearl white again. I really want to see a bright white 370Z...non-pearl. |

It's vinyl wrap. |
I love the MBlue with satin clear, but since that guy loves in Miami I do not want to do it and end up at a show with him. That being said I have really been leaning towards a chrome color, or the baby blue on that lexus.
|
This car is factory MBlue with a satin clear coat. It is paint. When my body kit was being painted I saw it with no clear looked exactly the same, I wanted to leave it soooo bad.

I think I may be doing this to my Z soon. I loooooooooooooove matte colors. And it will add 100 hp right?

I know these are not Z's but the colors would look great on a 370 IMO.

I get the matte or satin look and like it but aren't there any other comparable or even better alternatives?

Attachment 64375 Attachment 64376 Attachment 64377 I feel like this "chrome" vinyl might be the next big thing, not necessarily based on this car alone cause there's a few things I would have done differently with the wrap myself, but everyone's doing matte/flat/satin/etc, it's just getting slowly phased out in the area I'm in. |
It looks waaaaaaaaay more reflective in person, I mean blinding. These pics don't do it any justice
|
Quote:
It is blinding. More for show and straight out attraction like F me now. The wheels on those Audi's are expensive but ugly. Nice restaurant where that thing was parked. I'd take the GT 500 over the Audi any time. |

I think the next thing will be the chrome until they "ban" it or people get pulled over for driving a car so bright, but the next thing, which I LOVE I think will be black brushed aluminum (essentially brushed SS, but they say aluminum) |
Quote:
There is brushed Ti that's also really cool. I'm going to bed bro. |
|
have you seen the brushed aluminum wraps? They come in a ton of different colors. If I remember correctly someone did theirs in blue brushed...
EDIT: Found it http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-p...brushed-2.html |
I think that chrome wrap is good for events, esp. ones like the Gumball/GoldRush Rally or just some shows, but every day use... probably not.
|
someone photoshopped this one a while back when the 370'z were in their first year of production, always thought it looked coolhttp://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php...age&img=638155

I found this on another website, is something I want to do when i get my Z :
Stealth Shield Satin Clear Bra/Carbon Fiber/Smoked - 6speedonline.com Forums Its a good option for ppl that like the matte look but they don't really want to paint it permanently. Plus it protects your paint like clear bra!! |
That ones actually a GT40, I would definitely take that over the R8 as well. He paid 2k per wheel he told me. Pretty sure they're Asanti's that's what he has on his other cars
|
That green is so badass, why has no one done that?

OP's original image resolution is a bit low, but here's a quick sketch of his car in green. Shows up darker on here for some reason.

i really want to get my car wrapped in that bright green now! |
I need a color that will go with my wheels, matte gun metal face with bronze lip. My z is white right now with some CF trim pieces.
|
Thanks for all the input... Helped out a lot.
