So tell me if this sounds like BS or not.

I sent meistercraft an email asking what kind of numbers I should expect from their exhaust system and this is what they sent me back. Thank you for your interest in Meisterschaft Premium exhaust systems for your Nissan 370Z.* You can expect to see an average gain of 10-12 horsepower with just the rear axle back system and around 25-27 horsepower with our full cat-back exhaust system.*Tell me if you agree with this or not.

Major bs

crank hp maybe?

2013Zsport 02-27-2013 07:19 PM

What kind of numbers have you heard? Does anyone have any dyno sheets?

I really love the sound of this exhaust but I would also like some decent hp out of it, especially if I'm going to shell out $2600.

Keep in mind those those will most likely be best-case-scenario-you'll-never-see-it-in-real-life figures.

As a rule-of-thumb, I usually figure around 1/2-2/3 what a reputable manufacturer claims. YMMV.

I remember ONLY 1 member having the full Meistershiesternazi exhaust and IIRC he gained 28HP...

Also, your first mod will have the highest net gain. So many times the HP numbers companies use is what you would gain if you only modded with their part.
So if you add an exhaust first you might get 20+HP and then HFC would net only 8-10 and the next mod 5-8, roughly.

Exhaust gains don't help much anyway. If you do everything. Intake, exhaust HFC or LTH and a tune. Then you WILL see some real power gains. You can get better gains chopping of your res and going with a HP intake filter system and silicone hoses for about $250 to be honest than only getting a $1000 exhaust only. With just an exhaust, you will lose HP up front and gain what you lost in the middle... Basically.

So if you are getting an exhaust for sound? Get what you like. I'd be more worried about how much weight reduction the exhaust provides. $2600? Litespeed exhaust.

I was going to say this. It could make sense if he meant from the crank.

I bet it drones like a mofo though

I have a 2010 with Fast Intensions CB system and just had my car dyno'd after receiving an uprev. Net HP increase to the wheels was just under 25 HP

When you had the uprev tune, was it just the FI exhaust or others as well, like CAI, HFC/TP?

Not at all. It still has mufflers. It sounds pretty good. Way better than stock.
