Why? the only aspect holding it back is electric energy storage. Electric motors are far more powerful and efficient then gasoline. Once we figure out how to efficiently store the energy gasoline motors will be stone age tech similar to a steam train vs a diesel train and cars will perform that much better.

I agree, I have faith though considering how fast materials and tech are progressing. I mean just look how much more advanced batteries have become in the last 20 years.. There will be a breakthrough at some point that makes this feasible. Until then electric cars will be marginally useful
