I'd love to get rid of that aluminum and replace with CF. It dents too easily anyway.

That is correct!

Oh poop. I was hoping it'd be true CF. Looks great though!

it's decoration. if it looks good, then it's doing its job. not like it's going to save you any weight or anything.

I meant in terms of wear and tear. I don't know how that wrap would hold up on a kick plate.

lol I didn't think I was going to shave seconds off of my quarter time ;)

that's been on my car for 4yrs. and im not sure how you dented your sill in the first place? just lift your leg higher?

dmhenderson 05-02-2013 09:39 AM

Girlfriend in heels did it.

My wife punctured a hole in the rubber door seal on the driver side with heels when it was her car :shakes head: I should look into replacing; wonder how much it'll cost...

My Wife hasn't sat in HER Z in months....Evr since I got the Sierra Truck...That is all she drives.

And she won't even get near the Z/28, even for a ride...

Did you have to take off the kick plates and then wrap em up?

dmhenderson 05-02-2013 07:15 PM

iirc it's really hard to get that aluminum off the backing without bending it.
