It really depends if you go more for proformance or looks....I can't really comment much on proformance because all I am planing on doing is the stillen G3 (installed), and the FI CBE/HFC...

If it's looks you can easy get all you lights upgrade to LED's recommend JWmotoring great service and lights, carbon fiber some stuff recommend Carbon Fiber Element once again great service and quality.

Might be able to get one/two body panel(s) (front/rear bumper, custom fender, hood, front lip or a wing) but by the time you install you might be closer to $1500 depends on piece and body shop. Do some wrap on the car seen lots of roofs with black wrap on a white Z.

Also headlights if you have to have someone do them are around ~$700 (about).

Really depends on what you end goal is..

BTW the car is looking great as it is and nice mods so far.

SS brake lines, Carbotech pads, and two to three track days FTW.

Or definitely get some sway bars. Tp's and tune would be nice.

Tp's? And what tune would you recommend?

kenchan 02-23-2013 02:35 PM

Yeah really not happy with the offset needed to be 5 - 10 mm less really but brake clearance you know. Totally into the amuse front and rear bumper but its a commuter car like 150 a day so don't really want to invest 5000 or more just to have it dinged up on the 91 mon thru Friday.

CDepp 02-23-2013 04:52 PM

custom vehicle wrap: especially for the amount of distance you travel a day. Might be a couple hundred short of it with $1,250, but worth it to reduce paint chips.

//PSSST!!!!....$1,250 worth of hookers

ts-c63 02-23-2013 04:58 PM

Pay the car off?

SS_Firehawk 02-23-2013 05:45 PM

definitely TP's or HFC's. Resonated TP's though. Agreed as well for tuning. Sway's or oil cooler, that's a toss up.

What about when the cars paid off?????

O wait I forgot in america when you pay off your car loan that's when you sell it, lose as much as possible and then go and get another car loan to put you further into debt. :ugh2:

chrischhorn 02-23-2013 08:07 PM

I had $1250.... then I bought Powertrix R/T coilovers..... had it again, now I have lite speed SS exhaust on the way also. only had $500 this last time....z1 ss clutch line and hotchkis sway bars on the way as well lol.

SurfDog 02-23-2013 08:09 PM

A better LSD (Quaife?)

UNKNOWN_370 02-24-2013 08:56 AM

$300 and Eibach sways will really enhance what you have on there.
$500 HFC would be nice too...
SPL suspension components would improve the ride as well. But doing that right will eat up your $1250 quick... So i would probably d the first two and save the $500 and get lighter weight susp. components eventually.

So what are the advantages and disadvantages between high flow cats and test pipes is it only the restriction on air flow? Almost double the price between the tps and HFCs

SS_Firehawk 02-24-2013 10:55 AM

HFC's are cats and they are expensive. Test pipes are just pipes. Resonated TP's have a perforated tube usually packed with glass to baffle out harsh sounds. Cats are usually 200-300 Cell and quiet things down because of the cells the exhaust passes through. HFC's will generally produce 3-5whp less than a test pipe. Benefits to the HFC, exhaust is obviously cleaned, no "funky" exhaust fumes, and for some, quieter and not as harsh as a non resonated test pipe. Resonated HFC is the same as the test pipe with a HFC.

TP's make more power. The reason why they are so cheap is because they are basically just a straight through pipe. The problem with most test pipes is the rasp/loudness, and the hiss the engine makes is very noticeable. Not to mention the possibility of SES light coming on. And depending on what state you live it TP's can make it very hard if not impossible to get a sticker. I say get HFCs first, and TP's after. That way you can get a sticker, and just change them out accordingly

AlexRaymond19 02-24-2013 11:04 AM

Didn't see your reply SS lol

SS_Firehawk 02-24-2013 11:16 AM

All good, I quick shot that one :) You did give some more insight on other areas.

OTW Z-Boy 02-24-2013 01:09 PM

Which ones:

Stillen Stillen 370Z Sway Bars $340.00
Hotchkis Hotchkis 370Z / G37 Sport Sway Bar Kit $409.00
Nismo 370Z Nismo Sway Bar Package $679.00 $468.00

Berk Technology Berk Technology Metallic High Flow Cats 370Z / G37 $545.00
Fast intentions 370 (300 cell) high flow cats. $600.00 $500.00
Fast intentions 370 (resonated) high flow cats. $760.00 $620.00

Is there a brand I'm overlooking? Also tuning what's the deal with uprev?

 lots of threads on this LSD

diddy535 02-24-2013 01:43 PM

I'd say for sways go with whitelines, they are heavier but that's because they're solid not hollow, just a preference. Also they're adjustable. FBNissan can get you front and rear for a really good price (not sure if I'm allowed to post it).

I think G3s are also a great addition, they're one of the more popular intakes around here.

You'd still have a couple hundred to putz around with after those two, even more if you do the work yourself! Good luck OP!

Save your money.

Ackrite 02-25-2013 01:12 AM

The last time I had that kind of $ to spend on my car I ended up with a new 1911.

Gear driven (not clutch plate) limited slip differential. Mine is in the mail to be installed next week.

The zvlsd (viscous limited slip differential) we have I'm our sports is pretty weak. It will hook up for maybe one drag style launch but then heat up and become essentially like an open diff. (Base model has open diff)

I think this (along with suspension mods) is probably the best performance mod you can put on. 1500 bucks will almost get one installed. Diff $1100. Bearings and seals 1-200. Nismo vented diff cover $150 ish. Install $300 or so.

The difference in driving is reported to be night and day and much smoother than the clutch plate style diffs the hard core racers use. (Nismo makes one but it is rough and loud on the street)
