Its not a better car by that much - atleast from what we know so far ... Throw some stillen bolt ons and you are at the nismo power level... the chassis is not seam welded anymore... the wheels are nice but if you are like me you are going to change them anyway... the suspension upgrades are not that much - you could do the same with about 2-3k. So all in all.. the only people really buying the nismo will be getting it for the body kit... I love the nismo rear and front bumpers... all else i would keep to my base...

I have to admit I do like the look of the nismo but I haven't seen one in real life so it's hard to say how much I truly like it. My one big complaint with it though is that there is no option for nav or leather seats. Overall I like the touring sport the best.

You see, it's not like when Honda had their Civic Si's that had twin cam B16's that pushed 160 hp vs. the regular 1.6 125 hp motors. That 35 hp jump is a big deal for little lightweight cars as such, but w/ a 370, 18 hp isn't a world of difference. It's an exhaust and intake away, about $2,000 worth of mods vs. $9,000 price jump.
Nismo 370 is ricey I think, sorry if my opinion is offensive. S-tune is better. |

I had a chance to get a 08 350 nismo cheaper then my 09 370 but I didnt like the bent lip on the front air dam or the ricer screen on the rear, just saw the 09 and still has the curved or bent front lip.

Didn't like NISMO body kit. I got Base, then NISMO suspension upgrades and sports brakes and NISMO Spoiler. I'm getting the feeling I'm alone in this. My old 300ZX TT had the Stillen Spoiler and my older 83 280ZXT had the gigantic Whale tail spoiler. Not boy racer. More like old guy who is refusing to grow up.

i checked the standard version. for the extra money your paying for the nismo you are getting stupid looking bodykit, 18 extra measly hp that you can not notice, and less luxury .

Looks are very subjective. I like the front end, I'm neither a fan or a hater of the rear end. I don't care for the rear spoiler, like the sport package spoiler much better. I really like the wheels .......... to each his own. All in all, I think it's a nice looking package however. As many have said, you can do a lot more for the money. Sans the red stitching and NISMO nomenclature on the seats, the interior is the same. For a few thousand more than the price of the base with sport package, you can add some nice sways and struts/springs, a good HFC and exhaust, and come out cheaper than the NISMO. A lot of people though, probably want a "turnkey" performance upgrade without customizing the aftermarket performance parts. It's a nice car, I personally will enjoy my base with sport more by tweaking the suspension and adding a HFC/exhaust, then spend the additional money on a nice sound system.

the 350 nismo had the seam welds which you could not do on your own. (well, not easily at least)
the 370 nismo is all "bolt-ons" so I would stick with a base + sport package and customize my bolt-ons to my taste. to the nismo's favor I would say that the rear bumper is much better than the stock one and the concave wheels are just sick. |
