Two Problems!!!! Help

First, I have to say how much I love this car. Constant smiles for the week that I have had it.

Now to my 2 issues:

Wife scraped the rear driver's side rim on a curb today!!! About 4" right on edge of rim. Called dealer and next week they will swap a rim off of the GM's demo. Thank G-d.
Splash Guards are gapped. The passenger front and driver rear are gapped away from the body. Does Nissan use adhesive to keep them flush? Or do I have to get them re-installed or replaced?

Splash guards or mud guards? Splash guards are the black thin plastic lining that is inside the wheel well or under the car. Mud guards are the painted caps on the bumpers and sides.

If its mud guards just loosen all the screws, push it where it needs to be, and hold it in place while you or somebody else tightens the screws.

Splash guards are what you're referring to as mud guards.

The rear splash guards do have some adhesive tape.

If the splash guards came this way when you picked up the car, they didn't install it very well. Take it back to the dealer and have them fix this if you don't want to try to do it yourself.

Correct procedure but oddly enough Nissan calls them Splashguards as a factory option... I would refer to the lining and fender lining, or wheel well lining.

Lucky on the wheel replacement, I would ground the wife from driving for a bit

What type of adhesive tape do you use.

I just was looking at the gaps in the garage and the rear driver's side is pretty bad towards where it wraps to the rear bumper cover.

The front I will adjust in the morning.

I know the guards are screwed on thru the wheel well, but I want to make sure that I use the correct adhesive to have them lay flush to the body.

You will need to remove them and degrease them. Then wipe it down with soapy water. Degreaser leaves a super thin film.

Use 3M super weatherstrip adhesive or emblem glue.

Put in a good amount, then use masking tape to hold the piece down for a few hrs. Dont drive too fast. That stuff takes at least 24 hrs to fully cure.
