Your car's resale is probably better if you respray the original color. You can probably save some money, too, by only re-spraying the bits that need it and then blending with the rest.
Although satin could look interesting |

For the 40th I would definitely recommend a wrap if you want to go with a color change. It'll help protect what's left of the paint and you can always go back when you change your mind. Plus it's cheaper.

I was actually excited to see what a 40th in a different color would look like

If your not changing the color just repaint the bumper. If you want a different color wrap it. Keep in mind the wrap is only good for ~5 years. So yes it's cheaper and can be removed but if you wanted to keep the color for a longer period of time painting may be better in the longer time frame.
Also if you have that type of wear on your front bumper after only a few years I would be a little concerned how well the wrap would hold up compared to a good repaint w/ a clear bra. Either way sounds like you have to do something |

Why repiant a car that is like less than 3 yrs old?
Does the OP has money burning his pocket? The OP can send the money my way, I need some tires for ZdayZ or a new set of wheels for eye candy.

Just paint it then wrap right after! You should go for "black brushed aluminum" I have yet to see it on a Z, and I think it looks sick |

Just wrap it a bada** color!!! It'll protect the paint and look sick and when you want it off just get it off.
