You do have a vendor topic that would be perfect to keep everyone updated on your progress.

I'd like to know why you stopped posting on the build thread? There was an update everyday for a week and then it went dead as the two week period came to an end...

I guess you stopped reading the threads, the company he recieved his clear coat from was the wrong kind so all of his worked was scraped do to not being able to stand the heat. So the company refunded him the money and he now has the correct clear coat, that is why it has stopped. I aggree though that their are many threads all over the board, you should try to tie them together.

I just like giving him some ****... First he claimed to have a carbon fiber shop and had planned to have all these carbon parts that would be ready before the car he was using for molds would be returned. I can quote the thread where he said that there would be a carbon hood, carbon doors, possibly a wide-body kit if there was enough time... clearly an exaggeration since the car went back with absolutely nothing carbon on it.

My point is, instead of coming on the board saying he is an enthusiast and has a vision to make carbon parts for the 370z even though he has never had projects of this caliber before... he built up all this interest and hype without ever even knowing what he was doing, ... out of his garage.

Anyone who has made anything carbon before knows what resin to use, they know that you can't make seven carbon parts in 14 days and that the prices, although cheaper than large manufacturer competitors should be cheaper because they are being made by an amateur enthusiasts.

Not trying to degrade John at all, he is trying hard and putting forth lots of effort, but honesty is the best policy.

I for one give them the benefit of the doubt. From what I remember, he does have a body shop that is not his garage. He just chose to use his garage. I can buy the story about the wrong resin too, things like these do happen, even to experienced manufacturers.

I say we cut John a break and give him a couple weeks to get all this stuff straightened away.

The Pillar covers look pretty good too

The way I see it, the guy did pay money to be a sponsor on this forum, which helps all of us enjoy the forum. He has been honest and upfront about the issue with the resin. Nobody is going to be an expert at this car since it is relatively new. If the guy is working out of his garage and that can keep costs down, then good for him. Until someone get's a part and it fails, then I will give him the benefit of the doubt. He could have risked it and sent the parts out with a faulty resin. There may have never been an issue, but he swallowed his pride and was honest about the whole situation.

We do have the right materials now and we knew we had to have some great working epoxy here. We do work out of the garage as its been said before which we prefer because its the right size environment we need as of right now and all of our post work is done at an actual shop that is on the same block as our place so it all works out just great for us. No over head, spray booth half way down the block we can use freely, enough room to work, what more can we ask for as of right now? 4 walls and a roof does not make the parts. Workers make the parts.

And yes when we do have steady sales then we will be getting a shop just to have a more professional stance as far as the facility.

And we did state CF doors if there is enough time but we said there probably wont be. And the wide body wouldn’t have been until later on this year. The Z also went back stock due to the FACT that the epoxy was just no good so we talked it through with bullitt and we all decided the best thing to do is send the parts the following week or 2 to get everything done right the first time.

We refuse to send inferior products or products we know wont last. We want nothing but the best for your products.

you all should be happy....lol

this would have been a total opposite story if it was master grade.
they have good quality CF but shit fitment....and they would have abused the tester car for at least 6 months.
