Yes I have. I don't think about it no more. The very first time I thought I did something completly wrong, like not paying attention to what I was doing or how I was driving. I don't text while I drive and I use a bluetooth when talking on cell and driving. That same day as soon as I got home I looked around the vehicle to make sure my friends didn't write something offensive to others on my vehicle. (it happened once while I was driving a military vehicle and the general saw it... not a happy day for my commander)
In total, three fingers for no reason, countless because I asked for. From now on I just S M I L E.

Just got my Z on Friday, 3 days ago. My kids (12 & 16) are already refering to it as the cool car.
So I take it out for a short ereand on Sat. Get to a red light, coming at me running full code is an ambulance. It has to cross the busy intersection, against the light. As it gets near I notice the driver is looking at only one thing. Not the possible cross traffic, not the road ahead, My Z. And when I say looking at, I mean staring, head turning, staring. I got home and told my 16 yr old daughter, "You know you are driving a cool car when ..." |

You are doing it wrong if no one is staring at you

Elaborate!
That, or I'm just not noticing the stares. I did go to Taco Bell the other day and noticed a kid (maybe 17) and his much younger brother staring and then he came over and asked, "Excuse me, what kind of car is that?" I thought that was pretty cool, but that's really the first time in a while I've noticed anything like that - other than a bum giving me a thumbs-up as he crossed the crosswalk in front of me back in Dec. |

In a way, I would rather not have some "shady" people staring at my Z, as the first thing that comes to mind is my Z being stolen or damaged while it's parked in the worst spot in the driveway.
I'm okay with no one noticing my Z and I doubt anyone is staring at it. |

When the weather permits I pick up my son who is a Sophomore in H.S. I have done this 4-5 times this winter. Each time, kids stare and give me a big thumb's up. Just the other day, there were three kids attempting to jump a snow bank. As I pulled up, they all stopped in their tracks, followed me as I drove by one of them began to salute me and then the other two joined in and saluted as well.
I thought that was pretty funny. |
