Gahhh bad day for my Z
So i bought my 2009 PW 6MT two weeks ago and have been loving it ever since today. I have BABIED her and just enjoyed having a new Z after my old 350z got totaled. So today I was going to one of my soccer games, I warmed up the car like usual... I usually start the car and let it idle for a good 3-4 minutes before I go anywhere and I did just that... Soooo I was going down my street, reach the bottom and I go to turn right, I shift from 1st to 2nd at about 15mph and the clutch gets stuck to the floor for a good 5 seconds before I was able to lift it up with my foot. After that it smelled like burnt clutch, and it would stutter bad getting out of 1st and when i shifted into 2nd and let out the clutch to continue driving. Every other gear was fine. I parked the car for about 2 hours and came back and my friend asked what that burning smell was and he didn't even know what had happened to my car. Obviously its most likely the CSC that went out and its pissing me off. I have not checked the clutch fluid yet, I will do that first thing tomorrow before I take it to Nissan to have it checked out. Also, I went to start the car and it started, and then it just died right away. This is the second time thats happened. I had about 5 dots on the gas gauge so I'm not low on fuel or anything and the car was warm when I started it. I'm not to sure what that could be. I did a quick google search and what I got out of that was either I was low on fuel or that something with the cam positioning sensor. I have no check engine light on either. Sorry for my little rant but it's bothering me. BTW the car has 33,900 miles on her. Any opinions on how I should go about having these two problems checked out would be greatly appreciated.

Where did you buy the car? Take it back to where you bought it and have them fix it for free. I know in Maine if something like this happens within the first 2 weeks it gets paid for no matter what. Unless it was private sale...

It was a private sale. I'm really hoping I'm just low on fluid and not the CSC that is going out. As soon as I got home I just put my cover on it and went inside I was mad lol. I don't abuse the car, I drive it to school and back. Vdc has only been off a few times because I was seeing if I had throttle lag with it off like I do with it on, and during those times I drove it the same as I do when I just cruise. Ill know exactly what's wrong hopefully by the end of tomorrow.

Tell me about it dude
I'm staying positive and just hoping its an easy fix. Either it's low on fluid or I need to bleed the line. Which should only take 10 minutes or so. If the fluid looks bad ill just flush it and go with the Motul RBF600. HOPEFULLY that's all that needs to be done. Fingers crossed |

One thing you have to watch out for is the fuel pump is cooled by the fuel in the tank being an internal pump Letting the fuel drop low will wear it out prematurely this is the same for all newer vehicles.. |

Sorry to hear that... If that is CSC failure, it might be covered under the powertrain warranty. Check with your dealership. But before doing that, do you have some kind of lemon law in your state? If so you should definitely use it. Good luck man.

Sorry to hear. Hopefully everything will be covered by powertrain warranty.
I know the feeling I had engine relaced 1 week into buying my 09 almost 1 month ago.

Nissan is taking the car tomorrow at 9am. If it falls under power train than it gets replaced. I have heard the horror stories with dealerships and I'm kind of thinking that thy are going to say everything is fine.
