not that Mitsubishi's warranty is any better but i would rather have a lack of warranty then having warranty but being denied a claim all because the manufacture things you "might" have done something

@KenChan
my definition of good money probably isnt the same as your definition of good money, im making good money for a 19 year old(about 3k/month) and right now most of that money is being dumped into insurance($2500/6 months) for my car, car payments(about $600) and rent(about $1200)
the rest goes into eating, gas, and other misc items
i dont really have any extra money to spend so another car payment isnt out of the question if i get a turbo 4banger, i can buy outright but im not going to buy a honda or some other cheap beater car/rice rocket(which is all i can really afford to buy outright) and on top of it have insurance go up on me...

please dont say what i can and cant afford without knowing my financial situation first, its kind of rude...

@everyone else, i appreciate your opinions on the matter, i know this is a Z forum so i expect everyone to be bias towards the Z(heck i am bias sometimes as well) but i also want some real opinions on the matter
thanks

Don't be offended by Ken's advice... Cuz it's the same advice I gave you and it's good advice. Pay off the Z bruh... Then buy a turbocharged car to play with. I realized the Z was NOT the best mod investment after purchase. I thought $18k budget for turbocharging the car was good. I was wrong. It's like a $35k budget to do it right. It disappointed me. I don't like doing half a job so i am going to do with the Z what Ken said, Make it mine with personalization and getting the best out of suspension mods etc... Power mods will be minimal.
Now i'm upset about Z modding cost, but being upset and not liking my Z are 2 different things. Basically I'm saying. I know how you feel. I rent camaro's and vettes alot. They have way more power and fill a void the Z can't give me. But the Z fills a void those cars can't give me too... In other words. no car under $80k will be close to perfect. But you can have a couple cars in your life that can fit different roles in your driving mood. Pay off the Z. Keep it. Then buy a STi, Evo, or even a Juke Nismo. Buy what YOU like. We don't pay your bills so our opinion only holds so much weight..
People will throw all types of philosophies on you. I can give you my philosophy on BRZ's that many won't agree with. Opinions are like azzholes. In the end the decision is yours.

Don't u think that's kinda sad that the ecu parameters in that car are so narrow, and the ecu is so unadaptable to the SLIGHTEST afr change that it causes catastrophic engine failure??

Par for the course on a turbo car if you run it hard.

Messing with the air tract on an FI car is much different than something NA.

The only reason you hear about these issues on subarus more than other cars is the types of people that own them and how they drive.

yah, i think the 370z was intended for folks in their late(r) 30's and above... per some release video by nissan several years ago.

same goes with the G35C. the intended demographics per nissan's designer was for mid-50's folks taking their wives (usually one at a time i guess ) to onsen on the weekends while their kids went to college.

why we get teens and younglings in their 20's complaining bout our cars is beyond me.

lollololololololololol. Man i dont think he's complaining. But realistically when you are trying to mod. This platform is a PITA. Period. I love my Z and not giving it up. But im already looking for something turbocharged to park next to my Z. Or a Big V8 that throws off some deep **** off the line.
I would loooooooove a GT-R but my wife would kill me if I dented us like that and sacrificed that much income.
An Evo is tempting. A juke??? I don't know but the juke Nismo looks promising. Camaro SS1LE. Now thats a fvcking car!!!!!

I am not going to jump any guns cuz i want a Z35 if it meets my expectations? And im still not trading my Z34 for it. I do love this car. but it's not SERIOUS enough as a push to the limit sports car anymore. I need more power. And this bitch is pricey to get it out

Dudes in here wanna fanboy it up on some car models. Looking at half the story. AWD is fun, it just harnesses a different criteria of fun and driving skill.
turbos give more access period.
the Z is NOT boring. It's excellent by a huge margin as a stock or lightly modded car. But it leaves a bad taste in your mouth and empty pockets when trying to mod for serious use. A bmw 135i is cheaper to mod. When you can say its cheaper to mod a BMW??? There's a problem.

I sense the OP is in a lease that's about to end. Nothing else explains his reasoning to me.

yep, been there done that long time ago. fun at first, pita later. then you end up with a competent car (in stock form) like the 370Z for street use and drive it mostly stock.

it's like after a while modding gets old and you just do the minimum mods to a nice car to make it yours instead of tearing the thing apart to make it some crazy road machine that runs unreliably and get tired of.

i think best is keep your nismo and get another 4banger turbo hatch that you want. you say you make good $ you can afford it.

then you can do your experimenting and later realize why the nismo is the way it is.

BTW, the nismo runs harsh for a 19yr old? wtf... my modded cars when i was younger were much MUCH stiffer and cornered like on rails at the cost of comfort. im too old for that now. 370Z is nearly perfect for street in stock form. just needs a few things (exhaust, stereo mod).

over and out GL!

If some of the runs around San Diego don't excite you, you aren't pushing it hard enough.

The old Eclipse handles as well as a new Beetle. I still say go for a Beetle Turbo. Heck, it's more of a chick magnet than a Z, look at how many chicks are driving it
