That's pretty bad, but at least you didn't get hurt

Dumbest thing I did, pulled into school, parking and I was going as close to the wall as possible (because the bastard adjacent to me didn't go in far enough [that's what she said] and I was afraid he'd hit me when he left), but like the OP said, at .5 MPH, all of a sudden BANG!
WTF WAS THAT?!?!?! Felt like I hit or was hit at 20MPH...

Tow hook hit the wall, didn't even scrape the plastidip off, LOL

I know exactly what you mean, JungleZ. Dealership gave us a red, base 6MT loaner Z when we bought ours (they had to ship it from a dealership in OK). It didn't help that the tires were freaking bald, but I got to experience the ridiculous understeer the very first time I tried to push a turn at speed :shakes head:

Your dealershit has a Z for a loaner car?!?!?!

I'd say most embarrasing

When I first got the car, it was the first one I had driven where you had to push down to get it into reverse.

So I got the car home from the dealership and tried to put it in my parking spot, couldn't reverse lol. Kept trying for a few minutes, didn't want to break the shifter...so I put it in Neutral and pushed it into the spot.

That night I called my buddy....and he proceeded to laugh his azz off for about 15 minutes...and explained to me how to get it into reverse.

at least that was day one

LMAO!!! Thanks for that, I needed it

Your Z is well endowed. That tow hook really sticks out.

:bowrofl: I laughed so hard in the middle of our office at work. Yeah ive done things like that, I always try to play it off cool tho  .

Thought of a good one for you: There I was getting gas on my military post while everyone was getting out for a 4 day weekend (so everyone and their mother was at the gas station). The guy at the pump behind me was sooo far forward, for whatever reason, in front of the pump causing me to park really far forward at my pump. The gas line reached but it was taut and I began pumping my gas. Then, as I religiously do, continued to clean off my windshield while it was pumping. I look back...... No gas pump in my car, instead it is spraying gas EVERYWHERE at a rate of what looks like 100 gallons a second. Pride hurt worse than the gas on the car.

Yeah, I was filling up one night after work, and the gas pump I was at didn't click off after it filled the tank. (Or, as we Z owners are accustomed to, "when all the lights are lit on the fuel gauge except the last one or two.") Gas went all over my car and all over my pants and shoes. Not really Z specific, as that could happen to anyone with any car, but it still makes you feel like a tool. Had to go to the car wash down the street and blast my car and my shoes with the pressure washer in 20 degree weather. That'll wake you up. :eek2:

Note to self: "Avoid pump 8 at the Hess station." I've never used that pump since.

That is definitely a perk to being over 25 when you buy a new Z - we had it for over a week

When they let me drive off the lot with my brand new car, the passenger tire was inflated to probably ~100 psi - good ol' dealerships :shakes head: I got the tires heated pretty quick (cause new racecar :icon17:) and it bubbled on me. I stopped at a nearby friend's house and changed it out with the spare tire. When I got back to the dealership to explain what happened, they asked where the full size tire was. I told them I wasn't about to put that tire in my brand new Z, so I need a loaner to go pick up the tire at my friend's place. They gave me the same red Z to go get the tire :bowrofl:
