Ideas on cheapest shipping

Hey all, i'm trying to get an exhaust shipped and am having trouble finding a place to do it at a reasonable price. Right now I am looking at over 300 bucks... Any ideas? Thanks!

ps i did a search, but putting shipping in any search just did not work out

Shipnex.com uses UPS/FedSex
or greyhound

Last year after I sold my Eclipse I sold the CBE and shipped it from SC to NY. The Eclipse CBE is lighter than the ones for the Z as it only had one smallish muffler and less piping. It was about $100 using FedEx. I priced it also with UPS and USPS, and FedEx was the cheapest by far of the 3.

To find your price, once you have the box dimensions and weight, just go to each of the major shipper websites and price it out based on your to/from zip codes.

Take it to the Greyhound bus staion and ship it that way. Google Greyhound shipping

The greyhound looks like your best option I presume. Do you know much bout the process?

As you can see they are alot cheaper!

DEpointfive0 02-04-2013 08:11 PM

Whathuh?!?!?! Greyhound doesn't ship next day... And/or since when???

I sent 4 packages (wheels 16x20x20" and 116lbs) from Tennessee, to LA for $116 using UPS and insured

Apoc370z 02-04-2013 08:28 PM

How much does the package weigh? And the dims of the box will affect the cost if the dims' weight is greater than the actual weight.

Shipping ups/fedex without an account with them will be costly but your items are insured. Try finding a local shop/people with good discounts.

I dont know how big or how heavy the box is but you can try to get a quote from edi express if you are shipping from the west coast to the east

SHIPNEX.COM, make an account, you schedule a shipment and you get AT LEAST 30% off with UPS or FedSex

The randomness is that it uses whichever and doesn't tell you until the end, it just goes for the cheaper one

Give me the dimensions and where it's coming/going and I'll give you a quote

Thanks guys! As far as greyhound goes, are they reliable? Does you box come though looking like it has taken a beating?

Im certain you're responsible for the packaging. I dont think they take it off the bus, the recipient does but dont quote me on this.

I've used Greyhound Package Xpress several times. I shipped fenders across country. UPS/FedEx wanted close to $200. Greyhound was around $50. I have also received packages this way. All arrived unharmed. Plus, they arrive much quicker.
