Key fob question
Hi, y'all....
Just picked up my 2013 today. Love the car, but have a question... One big fear I have is losing the fob while on a trip. I always hid a key on all my other cars I have owned, but how do you do that with the Z? I'm thinking I would have to hide the fob and it's battery separately, no?...(since the hidden fob being in close proximity to the car with the battery installed would allow the engine to be started by a thief, or at least run down the battery, right?) Or am I all wrong here? I'm an old dog and I hate all these new gadgets! Thanks

Yessir, take the battery out, then use the key to open the door, and put the fob in the fobgina

OK, so you're saying I can hide the key outside, and hide the fob (battery removed) inside. Correct?
Yes, I did search under "key fob" and didn't see a relevant post. Thank you, sir!
