I would post a 370Z JGTC car, but... Quote:
I like the ideas behind the 370Z, but then they did what they did to it! Why a Nismo model in the first year? Why headlight bump and huge side mirror and same 350z drag? Why the fender sides so huge? Why no hood bump like the 240z? Why 20s Look normal? Why 18s are hard to pull off? Why the cabin is cramp, more tighter than the Z33 for the bigger guy crowd? :roflpuke2: It's all love... Nissan does it at every level... Wait till the next Z comes out, they'll create thousands of kingbabies, with hate spewing out thier eyes! |

Some of these 350z comments are funny, but the 350z is a classic.

I have a 2003 350z inblack with the stillen carbon fiber SC hood with roja 19 inch rims.
I love driving it as it feels and sounds like a sports car should. I also have a 09 370 z. it to quite, and drives very nicely till you push it and it just flys. i have a gtm stroker with the wolf 850 kit going in the 350. the 370 will have a gtm stage 3 Sc with 4.08 gears on my built 20 over motor. i like them both . but the 350 z is the " creature of the night " when i go cruising. At this time, the 350z looks way outdated. It's just too soft/bland looking for 2012. As well, I think the 370z is gorgeous.
...in 20 years... the sharp lines and aggressive stance will still prevail: so, 370z. |

I'd have to say the 370z because they did it right with the swept back roof line oppose to the 350.
Then again all z's are collectible in a sense |
When you say age well, what does that mean? If you're talking about looks the 370z will "age" better simply because they are too expensive for teenagers to get but cheap enough for a middle class person too get. By that time however you're expected to be having a family and ****, so the 2 seater 70 doesn't appeal to most. So that is why you see less 70's, and therefore it will hold it's value more due to rarity.
HOWEVER, as for popularity and standing the test of time, the 350 has it hands down. Maintenance on a 50 is cake (****, even changing the oil on a 70 takes forever...).The aftermarket is 10x more expansive and affordable allowing for every taste, either classy or ricey, to be realized. It is also very affordable for teens who have no real parental/transportation responsibility so can manage the 2 seater life. Also, the 350 made a much larger impact on the "car scene" from the get go because of its stark tear from the 300 styling. Go to any car show or race event and there will be more 50's than 70's. Just from a social perspective it is apparent that the 50 will be around longer. How many times have you gotten the "nice 350z" from some random wannabe boy racer punk? The 50 hit hard and became the sensation because it came out when the "scene" shifted from old dudes and muscle and became about younger generations and the "underground" and "F&F racing" all that ****. So will the 70 be more valuable later on because of its rarity and looks? ("nice porsche"...) YES. But on the other hand the 50 will be around longer and will it be more popular? YES. So it comes down to whether you want ease of maintenance, more popularity, and complete customization with less money per mod. Or if you want to have that slightly higher end look without the higher end pay, but less customization per dollar, more maintenance, and less popularity. "age well" is relative... Damn that was long winded... |

I like the 370 more (subjective). But the 350 will probably age better and be easier to find a good example of in the future. There are many more of them, they are easier to work on, their are more replacement and aftermarket parts for them, and they aren't as technical as the 370 meaning less stuff to break on them.
