Saw the Nismo in Person

today i went to miller nissan to check out the nismo and i was impressed. it looks pretty good in person. the body kit is nice and so are the rims. they are perfect. i think in the future i might just get the nismo rims.

but there are some flaws lol and here is my list so far. feel free to correct it

the rear wing is way to big and you cant really see anything in the rear view mirror.

the price tag was $45 g's

the msrp was 40 g's

the interior is the same as a base 370 and the only thing thats different is the nismo logo and the red stitching.

for 45 grand i think you can get much more then the rims the body kit and 18 hp.

base + sport = lets say 32
you throw on a full zele kit + 3.5 lets say = 35.5

some volk g2's + 4.5 + 1.5 for tires = 6 + 35.5 = 41.5

stillen g3 intake is like 500 right? so that = to 42 and thats your 18 hp right there if not more.

im just making assumptions but if you do the math corectly im sure its gonna be cheaper then 42 gs.

another option would be just to get the base + sport and get a tt kit for it and its gonna cost you a little more then 40 g's.

so what do you guys think about the nismo?

Beautiful

You should be able to pick up the car for MSRP or less.

I think it's good value for the package. If you're modding a base 370Z in a similar manner, don't forget, suspension, exhaust.....that's another $3K or so. Those yahama dampers on the Nismo will be about another $1k for everything.

you can get it invoice. in this economy consumer is in control not the dealer.

You pretty much have to buy the NISMO for what it is - most of the extra dollars you are spending is for what you "don't" see.

It is a pretty "bare bones" vehicle; at least from a "luxury" standpoint; especially compared to a decked out Touring coupe or the new roadster...no heated/cooled seats, no nav system, no bluetooth, no leather, etc, etc.

I like the Nismo a lot but I'm likely going to get the new roadster to replace my Touring Coupe...I'll be giving up a little bit of performance but overall I like the open air of a roadster along with all the luxury trimmings. :)

You will probably have a bit of difficulty finding them for MSRP or less at first; they are, after all, a bit of a limited production. However, once they really start hitting dealer lots I'm sure you'll find a dealer that will make you a decent deal because let's face it, the new car market is in the sewer right now and while everyone is trying to adjust; dealers need to SELL cars.

+1 Remember, even the "regular" 370Z's were going full retail.....for about a week! :D

about your ideas:
to me the zele body kit kicks nismo's out the water
and if you got a zele body kit, you'd probably want to go with their exhaust :icon17:
i think the nismo is higher than a tour+sport+nav bc they're trying to sell it as if it were an s2k CR (i think a lip, bad spoiler, no air/audio (unless you pay more for them in) ) -feel free to correct me on the CR

if they drop the price to 38k it might be worth it

I saw one in person today. I wasn't that impressed. It was nice, but I would be just as happy with a sports packaged Z.
