If it's fwd, they should share the platform and powerplant on the new Mercedes Benz CLA. I think they should just bring back the s15!

the s15 is out dated(even though its faster then the brz and frs) and the line honestly deserves a new model |

for the guys even remotely talkigna bout the z downsizing AKA mini Z...
MINI Z is a term only the stupid person who wrote the article uses. The Nissan guys didnt say that. They simply said, they are working on another sports car that is smaller and will slot below the Z. So all this MINI Z talk is actually just foolish and based on nothing. So rereading article. Another sports car, slotted below the Z, but will not replace the Z. And with that, we can continue rumors, or just go based on what the Nissan people said. |

I don't know why anyone would complain about Nissan bringing out a new smaller sporty car. Not everyone can afford a Z, and it may bring in younger, first time buyers, who can later move up in the Nissan family.
I'm pretty sure, mini-z is just a way of saying a smaller sports car, not Z related.

all very interesting, well if I do get rid of my Z,
I would probably look at a old 240z, Mustang I had consider just too much a salon car for me... as folks are saying the GTR maintenance is just too high not sure with what Nissan is up to, with Miata and Alfa Rameo teaming up on a new sports car, Nissan may be left behind

[QUOTE=kmkraft12;2116873]Keep in mind that just because they are bringing in mini Z doesn't mean they will lose the old one. I predict a 400ZX as a 4.0 with around 400 HP,
i wish!

I say use the 240 hp VQ25HR motor. Then drop the 250Z size and weight to 2800 lbs.
The Z Mini should then be a MR18DE (Sentra engine) with 150 hp and 2400 lbs.

I think Nissan is smart for bringing the market what people want and can afford. It'll give the FRS, BRZ and Miata a run for its money - might actually steal the market if they make a 2.4L.
If this new baby Z could allow the car manufacturer to fund for more fun cars so be it. I think it's be fun car to drive! Last edited by scruffydog; 01-19-2013 at 10:39 PM. |

and a 150hp sports car? It would suck. the smaller sports car needs 250hp + and the z needs to hit 400 or more. Quote:
