But, can I really trust the dealer to install this?
knowing that on a brand new car, panels have to be popped open for installing camera/harness is a bit nerve wrecking for me.

I'd rather have them already installed in Japan, but doesn't seem to have an option..

i decided to get the one already coming in february, and have the dealer install the rearview camera and mirror as part of a deal. factory order would take ~5 months since the next ordering process for this dealer was march.

Was taking apart A-pillar, panels and weather strips pain in the butt?
it looked like it could be a little pain when i saw the installation manual.

A good thing about the dealer is that they will take responsibility for their work. A better dealer will inspect your car at check in and take responsibility for their work.

Last dealership I went to I brought my stock 1997 240sx to get the waterpump changed (Should have done myself). Two NISSAN techs came outside and complimented my on my R33 skyline. When I told them it was a stock 240sx one asked me if I knew I had a skyline front conversion on it :shakes head: Got my car back 2 hours later and go a mile down the road, car overheats. I look under the hood and they had forgotten to put ANY coolant back in the radiator :ugh2: Returned to the dealership and they filled it back up. The next day I was driving and my water pump belt grenaded :icon14:

I've swapped engines, transmissions, done turbo builds and done a frame off resto with no problems. Crappy Nissan dealership can't even replace a waterpump.

the diffuser and sidesills they did fine. but the rear right splashguard... :icon14: wtf.

i think you can trust them, but before work show them you have no scratches (take picts even), then verify together with the service advisor after the work is done. dont drive off the lot until you are 100% satisfied.
