oh wow lol i had no idea that other people have experienced this. the other day i was on a freeway and i hit a bump and the car jerked to the left so hard i had back pain for about a week. the car also lets the back end out when you take a turn a little to fast in a parking lot. i think if the car was a little bit lighter like in the 2900lb area we would have a more enjoyable ride. am i wrong?

In my old Z I had removed about 150lbs of dead weight.... bumps were a lot more obvious with the weight removed.... but even still... it handled bumps in the twisties leaps and bounds better than the 370...
People who think the 370 is "stiff" don't know what stiff really is. |
One more thing to look at is tire pressure. When I picked up my car from the dealer I specifically asked whether the tire pressure was adjusted, knowing it would be high for transport from the factory. Sales guy says yes, adjusted to spec. Just to be sure, I checked it today, guess what, 45 psi instead of the 35 it should be! Will find out tomorrow what difference it makes.

Well a miata is a sports car, so i'd hope to god the Z is too.

Car and Drivers take in 09.
"At the track, the 370Z easily outpaced its predecessor: 0.3 second quicker to 60 mph, a half-second quicker to 100. What we have here is a $35,000 car that accelerates to 60 mph a mere 10th behind a Porsche Cayman S. The new Z’s 30-to-50 passing potential is now about a second better, and it picked up 0.9 second in its 50-to-70-mph burst. Skidpad grip has risen from 0.93 g to a tendon-bending 0.97 g, and the new brakes (no longer Brembos but Akebonos) have tightened stopping distance to 159 feet—race-car territory, kids." I'd argue the miata is the epitome of a sports car (as is the lotus elan). The Z is one too. Although it is a porker. |

You! You, don't get to quantify your Z as a sports car: not when you start threads like "Fit 4 people in the Z". You classify your car as a "powerful small-sized midget transport vessel". The rest of us can call it a sports car. :inoutroflpuke: |
Hahaha
I think you used quantify when you meant qualify lol. It does handle better than my Mog or S14 even if it is heavier. |
I made a post yesterday because my car felt swirly at 120+mph ..and today I install the camber kits(front and rear) that came with the car when I got it!!..and got a alignment and it fix the problem!!
|
I don't understand why people always want sports cars to drive themselves. I have the most fun when the car is a beast and requires taming. If you aren't a little scared when romping on it at the track then you aren't having fun!

Why the **** is this even a discussion?
Sports car - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ^there's your answer. a better question would be: Should a person who uses "2" as a common replacement for "to" and "too" still be considered a person?
