Year: 2011
Model: NISMO Transmission: 5MT Miles: 38k Lock Revision: 48700-JF00D City: Plano State:TX Province: Region: Country: USA Towed: No, luckily it failed to start in my garage. The only luck thing about this fiasco. Did You Disable SLU? I tried ALL the tricks, had to buy a SLU, then pulled the fuse after installing the new SLU. It was a costly mistake. I essentially paid $700 just bypass a new part. Downtime (how long without car)? 5 days troubleshooting and trying everything before purchasing a new SLU. I had the latest piece of **** 48700-JF00D revision. So Nissan has not fixed the issue. |
Slu failure

Year: 2011
Model: (Base or Touring) base w/ sport package Transmission: (6MT/7AT) 6mt Miles: 50,500 Lock Revision: D City: Hollister State: CA Country: USA Towed: Yes or No. Yes Did You Disable SLU? Yes or No. No Downtime (how long without car)? 4 hours Luckily I was able to get the car started after getting it towed to my work. I hit the steering lock a few times with a rubber Mallet And got it to crank. I pulled the fuse and all Is good so far. Thanks to all you guys here otherwise I would have been screwed taking the car to the stealership |
looks like its been a bit for this, or most of you beat me with pulling the fuse.
Year: 09 Model: base touring Transmission: (7AT) Miles: a hair over 70k Lock Revision: State: CA Downtime (how long without car)? 3 days 240$ TOTAL for tow twice. Plus a 6 hour wait to tow a few miles. Couldnt get the tow in time for dealership. Be warned. Most guys wont touch these things because they are avoiding any types of damages from it being low. If your tow truck driver has towed corvettes and such, you will be fine. Almost 4 tow places denied the tow. Make sure you got a good tow policy. 600 in labor and parts.
