For what you'll use it for, I agree that you made the best choice. Grats on the new ride!!

When it starts getting warmer up north and you end up trading in for a Z, we're going to get nervous about this global warming stuff. Our oil temps will skyrocket lol. ;)

haha good point man. But yeah, I'd get a Z when either I move to somewhere warmer via work (not opposed to moving down south, I like the US in many ways) OR I actually have the room to keep a summer car, my bike, probably another bike and a daily driver. Right now I live in a condo with underground parking, and I have my car, my bike and roommates bike all in one spot, so not much room to keep a Z and a winter beater.

Picking up the car today...I don't suppose you all would like to see some pics after I get it? You've all been so welcoming despite my change of decisions!

A RWD high HP car like a Z m3, etc in that type of weather is going to be a nightmare imo. I drove a Bimmer in Ohio when I lived there, and I have been to quebec-can't even imagine a car like that in that snow.

yeah, that was pretty much my thinking...at first I thought "oh, the 370 won't be so bad at all with some winter tires, and it's only like 3 months of snow anyway" but now after seeing how long the winter was here this year (it snowed significantly last week and we're in April!) and how many big dumps we got this season (one week we got about 90cm in abolut 48 hours) I figured the STI would be much more practical...and the widebody STI's are still beautiful cars

Yep, even being as careful as I can, with sand bags in the trunk, with winter tires, it makes no difference, you are still going to lose the rear end every once in a while on ice/snow. Luckily the times it happened to me, I never once hit anything besides a snow drift!

Alright well, picked the car up right after work and all I can say is WOOW. Car was pretty much flawless when I got there. I thought it was new, it was actually on the showroom floor haha. After paperwork was done, my salesman walked over to it and i was like "oh damn that's my car" and actually drove it out of the showroom....felt so badass!! Anyways here are a few pics in case any of you are interested...wish I had a better camera, the car's color is so much nicer in person, my blackberry 10 did not pick up the vibrance of the color well at all but wtv!
