yes they did! They are marketing nismo oil and differential coolers.
Each one is $780 option. It "must" installed by the dealer to be covered
under warranty! I'm not sure on labor costs but i would expect around $345.
I know outside the dealership the coolers going for $480 at stillen now.
Bim sure its because now they have to compete with the part now being
Warranteed by nissan.
It just goes to show how much these tuner companies rape u when there's no
Competition.

Read that in Car and Driver too?? Your comments make no sense at all. After market coolers are cheaper than the "supposed" Nissan one, but the aftermarket guys are raping us?...Huh?
This makes about as much sense as most of your posts here on other topics..

i think what the other guy tried to say is when tuner companys have no competition they will raise their price. but now that nissan has an cooler that covers warrranty they lower the price. that shows how much profit they make.

Well; don't worry about how much profit tuner companies make; I suspect we aren't far from the day when some bureaucrat will be dictating to every company how much "profit" is "fair" and appropriate.

Until big-brother steps in to save us all, if you really feel tuner companies are rapping you you certainly have the option of not giving them your patronage.

I haven't seen any price movement, have you? Aftermarket coolers run from $300 to $1000 +. Stilllen has a general sale on that puts their's at $425. It's been that way for awhile. None of that was in response to the $780 Nissan Motorsports cooler (Plus installation). They're (Stillen) probably still laughing over that pricing. If you want to cut the tuners out of their profit to design, engineer and fabricate a commercially acceptable kit than knock your socks off. You can put together a cooler system for $200. No one yet has confirmed that there will be any Nissan warranty on the Motorsports cooler. In fact, some of the customer relations folks have said specifically that it would void a warranty....There is so much mis-information flying around on this it's not even funny...

Can't you just build your own oil cooler kit for under 300?
I think I can get one for around 260.

Damn...so SUPPOSEDLY, you can get factory installed coolers covered under warranty for over 1 grand. HAAAAAA. How big is this dealership anyways? Even if a dealer offered me warranty, i wouldn't trust a dinky dealership for if they were to go under, you would have paid 1k for an oil cooler and STILL be screwed. I think since for the most part Nissan won't be doing anything in the very near future about this, it's just a much more hassle free to install your own at a MUCH cheaper cost and remove the cooler if engine related warranty issues arise.

+1!

I do not know others that installed a oil cooler in a 350Z (VQ3.5DE engine) that ever had a oil temp/engine failure in either NA or FI. I do not know of any 3.7 engine failures due to oil temps causing engine failure yet other than the "limp mode" issue.
