They'll sell at the price the market will bear. If there were no buyers, there would be no business.
I'd rather chew off my own arm than buy a 2000 buck intake, but they're not marketing to me. |

I wonder if the intake filter covers are real carbon fiber. I certainly doubt they are but if they are then it takes some time to make and material/time cost is actually quite high. I think alot of people forget how much carbon-fiber really cost since there are so many low grade fakes on the market for so many applications. The only thing that makes me think its real carbon is the ends of the intakes are not perfect as many have pointed out makes me think this is real carbon but without seeing the part in person almost impossible to tell without an inside picture.

Most of the CAI are really only worth it , unless you go with a full competition exhaust along with it and a good remap.
Already well covered in this old posting http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-g...-hp-gains.html For every day street use they aren't really worth it and you will only sense a little more intake air noise and a louder exhaust if you change both intake and exhaust. The expensive intakes are really for the little posers that gather at the 7 elevens with their hoods up and say look at my chrome pipes and neon LED accents. For the money your better off putting any money into future brake, tire or handling packages, most Z drivers will trade their cars off in 3-5 yrs. so its not really worth it to put a lot of crazy mods into it, you never get a return on them, when you sell them off. Also a bone stock, unmolested 370z will bring a lot more at trade in time, smart buyers avoid all the cars listed with the Bad *** sales pitch and crazy amount of mods. I could care less about the intake. I go fast already being in Germany and my car is bone stock. The Nengun t-shirt is def worth the 17Euros!
NOP - Nengun T shirts - Nengun Performance Im getting 2! Stick that in the intake lol! |

You gotta go all in or not at all. I'm actually going to get some RE-11's for my Z for next season once its out of storage. She deserves some good tires even if I'd prefer to spend less. At worst I've gotten used Potenza's just to make it one month until storage, but I'll never understand someone dropping $$ on engine and wheels then by a set of Nankangs

Who gives a crap how much you spend as long is what's you want. I think it's stupid to even knock someone spending $800 on $6k wheels. What's dumb is spending almost $2k for tires that will never see a winding road, let alone a track.

Definitely go for what you want but its borderline hilarious when someone buys the best Volk's wheels but then will cheap out on the tire...the part that actually connects your car to the road.
