What's the worst insult you've gotten about your Z?

Funny! I had a much different experience with my fiance on Tues. I called my fiance out when I pulled up in my 370Z for the first time. Her words, "WOW! That's a hot car! Amazing!"

Then I opened the door and told her to sit in while I took it around the block. "This is a monster. *chuckles as I accelerated* This really is a nice car, sweetie! I'm jealous now!"

(she has a Merc C300 Sport and is jelly)

I've had people tell me "niceeeee it's so sleek I thought it was a Porsche!"

I was insulted.

False dichotomy is human nature I suppose: Anything sleek must be Porsche to this guy at first glance.
Ferrari = perceived Porsche
Aston Martin = perceived Porsche
Jaguar = perceived Porsche
Lamborghini = perceived Porsche

I was at my eye doctor's clinic and an old guy commented "don't get pulled over in that cute car." I didn't know how to take it so I just kept walking. He drove a newer Mercedes 4 door.

I've gotten the eclipse comment when i owned a 350. Usually i get the " i wouldn't have paid that " alot of ricer comments due to alot of rednecks with lifted trucks around my town lol. It's obvious that many people just wish they owned a z and find a need to hate on it.

I'd say some of the nicest and best-performing Japanese cars are made by Nissan (Infiniti).

One of the nurses at my work came up to me yesterday and said "Was that you with that loud car in the parking garage, whats wrong with it? It was so loud i got scared"...i just responded "It's a sports car, I made it sound better."...
