If in stock, maybe 2-3 hrs. The have to drain the system, replace, then bleed and test. Some places can do under that. But, I expect the norm to take some time with 2 techs.

Yeah, I also drive an 09 6Mt, had this happen in July. Took them over a day's labor to do it. Luckily mine was under warranty, and I hope yours is too... They set me up with a sweet Mazda2 though!

Mine took about 5 days since the dealership was slow as hell and had other cars in front of mine for repair. Expect them to hold it overnight most likely (especially if they don't have the part on hand - shipping could take another day or two).

So I guess mine is not covered by the warranty and that it's gonna cost me 1000 dollars. Even though I bought the car just 5 months ago and it's under 60000 miles and its no where near 80 months.
I was also told the slave cylinder does not fall under the drivetrain??? How!! Suggestions? |

Get drunk.
Mine was only under warranty because I bought the extended 100k warranty. That pretty much made it worthwhile by itself. I suggested to someone else looking at our year to get it if it's available to them, considering this issue. As for what you can do, I don't know. You might be able to complain to Nissan since you bought it so recently. Long shot though. I did when my parking brake didn't work and my windows leaked in the first week, but those were considerably cheaper fixes than the clutch. I guess your other option is to look at an independent shop you trust. See if they can do any better?

I've been through this recently went ahead and replaced the clutch while i was in there. My dealership quoted me 1479 out the door for slave and new oem clutch. I put a JWT clutch in with labor and all (not done at nissan dealership) was about 1300

just curious, for those on this thread that had to get theirs replaced...what were the symptoms you experienced that indicated it needed to be replaced? I have some symptoms that i think are related, but i want to know what you guys experienced to see if its the same.

When I got to the dealership I opened up the hood and my fluid was black. The dealership (who was pretty good to me, Salisbury Nissan) bled the system and refilled it, asked me to go out in the lot and test it after the service manager said it felt perfect to him. I started the car and it immediately crapped-out again. So, they had to drop the tranny and replace the master & slave cylinders.
