Can't believe I read all three pages. I must be at work.

Though I'm not fond of the 360, an even trade seems fishy... someone got screwed on one side or the other, and not in a good way.

Lock this thread already. OP is clearly trolling, unless he wants to prove us wrong and post pics already

More specifically, pics of his 360 and/or Nismo

WOW

In no way shape or form would I have ever done such a thing. Well maybe if I really really needed the money but then if I needed it that bad I would sell the car and get a corolla or something. I want to see pics with the OP user name so we can see if this is true.

Well, 360s are on autotrader for as low as 57k at times. Trade in values tend to be massive ripoffs, and a marked up 13 nismo could go for 50k, so the extremes on both sides could mean he really did do a straight trade, if so the dealer would make a killing both ways.

This reminds me of a story about my youth.

In my heyday, I was a bit of a dreamer. I had this idea about setting your mind to something and being able to accomplish it, no matter how ridiculous or absurd my friends and acquaintences thought the idea to be.

I always had a fascination with movies, particularly spy movies like James Bond or Die Hard movies where a donut-eating NYC cop could take out a Russian terrorist supercell single handedly. Or the car movies where this blond guy drag races an Eclipse and accidentally gets upgraded to a Supra. (The sequel about him trading the Supra for a Cavalier and accomplishing the same feats never came about - something about a script revision not making the cut. Oh what could have been!)

Anyway, I'm terrible with tangents.

I decided that, when I stumbled upon this little gem Al Gore created called the Internet, I could make dreams into reality for anyone that used it. People could post pictures (ANY pictures) and tell stories about their own personal outlook and perception of their lives and convey them to the world. Anyone could sign up, enter their age and gender, create a nickname for themselves and VOILA!

I made a test account first and uploaded pictures of my Ferrari, then pictures of my 18 girlfriends. Instantly famous? Perhaps in a way. I invited people to join and they came in droves. Contingency? They would be my friend. I would be the center of my own little space on the internet.

So before you ask me, "Tom, why on earth do you have 18 girlfriends?" Before you let logic overwhelm you to the point of pilfering through my photo albums and choking on the realization that I am the only person missing from the photos of women in my album "girlfriends", I ask you, in turn, "Bro, because racecar."

I implore you to be on the lookout for my new photos of my Civic Si (I traded in my Pagani for it because daily driver, and the Si is going to go up in value soon once people realize I drive one). Don't look for my website anymore, though. Some guy Timberlake bought it and deleted all my pictures. Because Social Network.

Even if trading it from a collectors point of view is stupid, I still think that the maintence of a vehicle that is out of warranty, let alone a ferrari that is out of warranty would be assanine. I could only imagine what a brake job on one of those would run. I actually called the dealership. Annual maintence is oil change and brake fluid change $900, but also based on the milage logged. Brake job is close to $2k for the standard steel rotors, much much more if you have the upgraded carbon ceramics.

That is some serious maintance fees for basic consumables.

Well i never said it was a easy choice but it was one i felt should be done, yes the 360 was great but i needed a car i could drive every day, and the Nismo is just that car, it handles just as great as the 360, and i even feel the power delivery is also the same, very linear and very strong and feel that the nismo could beat my 360 in a race

I also got a great deal on trade (even trade) My Nismo is fully loaded and had a sticker of 46k plus 3k ( wanted vehicle) added to the sticker to make it almost 50k out the door with tax, fees etc

I was looking at a GTR aswell but i just loved the Feel of the Nismo and how rare it is, thus the 3k mark up! Its getting tons of looks and my boyfreind thought it was a new Porsche!
Ouch! My fully loaded Nismo was $36K off the showroom floor - got it under invoice. No rare car fees? Its not a very rare car really. Honestly there isnt much differnce between Nismo and Sport model.

So they gave you $50K for your 360? And you paid $50K for a Nismo? Yikes? Most 360's go for $75K to $100K.

The dealer who did this deal is slimy if thats really how deal played out! They banked $30K plus on that deal.
