So I washed my keyfob it was in my pocket pants and I forgot about it because I saw my spare one on the table. Have any one you done

Key Fob
 So I washed my keyfob it was in my pocket pants and I forgot about it because I saw my spare one on the table. Have any one you done that before. I was taking my pants out from washer to put in dryer and the key fob fell. As soon as I saw it I opened it dried it with a cloth and put it in a bag full of rice. I am waiting to take it out for about a good 3 days have you guys ever done that before and if you did, did the key fob work like normal again.
