I agree that it depends on where Nissan wants to go with the car. A turbo 4 would move it down to the class of the FRS/BRZ and would also increase sales numbers if they bring the cost down with it. A turbo 6 would help it keep up with the Pony cars. A DI N/A V6 and some weight reduction could keep it trying to compete with the Boxster/Cayman.

I think we're more likely to see a 400 HP Z than 500 HP, just because Nissan would like to keep more separation from the GT-R.

I don't know about everybody else, but my daily driver seldom sees WOT anyway. When it does, I'm quite happy with what I get. YMMV :) |
Thread necro wtf?!!?!?
O, wait...nevermind, just yet another repeat... Nissan will do what it takes to remain competitive, period. Otherwise, the Z will die off. |

And don't worry about the GTR. By the time Z has 400+ hp, GTR would be somewhere around 600. Big brother will always be big brother;) |

Throw on top drivetrain differences, and they will never be close to comparable. |
a V-8 option in the Z would be interesting. they do fit since forsberg has one in his formula D car and then i found this guy too...

A small V8 would be awesome for the Z, but I don't see it happening ever.

Should bough some properly sized tires for the rims, and pick the damn car off the floor.

The new mustang is just as fast as an m3 on the track... Nissan needs to step their game up!
