I do not like the new front facia or the rims of the 2013 so I would go with the 2011. It looks better and it would be the cheaper choice. The only thing I would ask would be to do a full flush of fluids add new ones and do a full maintenance to it. you know the basics. |
go for the 2011, overall better styling than the new model. not enough updated on the 2013 for it to be worth extra dough. Buy the 2011 and use the money you save on mods!

I'd get the 2011. I still wouldn't trust the steering lock in the 2013 model anyways. They might never get it right haha. Just pull the fuse and :driving:

Thanks to all for your comments and suggestions. Personally I was leaning towards the 2011 for the immediate availability and the lower price, but the local dealership pushing the 2013 got into my wife's head about "can we trust it's really only 15 miles", "there must be something wrong with it if nobody buys it", etc.
We're going up there today to check it out, so we'll see... |
Unless you can get a stellar deal on the 11, I'd go for the 13. Then, you could get exactly what you want, built to your specs. It's a painful wait, but sooo worth it. =]

If they give 25%, take it, if not, use their loaner and get a 2013 |
Just back from checking out the 2011 model. The low mileage is probably accurate, they don't give test drives here, so those miles are from going off and on a truck traveling around to car shows and other promotions. It doesn't feel 'new' though, the seats are scuffed up, you can tell a thousand people have sat in that car, and it's covered with swirl marks and even some small scratches.
I pointed all this out, but he won't budge on the price, I even tried to be a little flexible to get some non-cash enhancements like a free polish to clean up some of the swirl marks and he rejected even that. So, looks like I'll be ordering a 2013 Magma Red Roadster tomorrow, expected delivery in early April... |

So a dealership that doesn't give test drives. How do they sell cars? Hope you ordered somewhere else? Your car is going to come off the truck, and they won't let you test drive it, then come to find out, there is a problem that could have been caught on the test drive. And does a dealer refuse to detail a vehicle that was in their possession to make it like new again when they sell it? I don't know where your shopping for cars, but there are plenty of dealers here on the forum who will take your order at a guaranteed price and ship it to you. That stealership probably sucks ballsack and that's why that car has been there for as long as it has.

Little Blue, Congrats on the 13 order! You'll enjoy it. Surprised the dealer wouldn't give a little, guess that's why they still got it.

good decision, not a huge fan of the 2013, but its better than a beatup leftover.
