I've been following the steering lock threads for weeks now and I've not seen a case involving a 2011+ model to date. Mostly 2009 and 2010 models.

Smug nothing. Buy what is the lastest for better performance.....always. I listed the items that make the newer model better in my opinion but again the OP and his money matter more than my silly opinion :) symple84 Enthusiast Member Join Date: Dec 2010 Location: Miami, FL Posts: 377 Drives: 11 PW 370Z Rep Power: 2 symple84 is on a distinguished road Default I fell victim of the steering lock problem, car was towed to the dealer.... |
Please link :) And if it is performance first.....always, where's your Nismo? Oh wait, those didn't have a performance advantage either. OP, please let us know what you get haha. You have us arguing over the merits of two vehicles that are 99% the same. Oh and FYI, 15% off 50k is $42,500.

Nismo not needed as you said :) On the Autobahn at 130+mph you cant tell the difference Im betting. |
You win that battle haha. Impressive you found what must be the single existing steering wheel lock issue on the 2011's. Then again, mine was manufactured in August 2011 and bought late Sep. Not sure if they made any more changes or that 2011 was fitted with an older revision.

get the 2011 hands down the better Z. :rofl2::tup:

penfed.org 1.49 apr financing.
Go for the '11 no-brainer. The '13 is butt ugly. |
For sure ask for fresh oil at least. Seriously.
And try to negotiate for a bit more than 15%. I got almost that on my 2010 when I bought it in late 2010. |

I'm just curious what the car they'll loan you for free for 4 months is lol a 2-door altima coupe? I'm really loving those
I guess in the end it comes down to.. what colour is the 11? if it's the blue you want.. the 11 blue is sooooo much nicer than the new dark constipated poopie blue. daytime LEDs are also quite tacky imho. but you 'do' get to say you have a brand new 13 with perfect paint and fresh warranty. personally I like the pre-13's.. but for only 15% more (like $3000? $3500?) I would be tempted for the brand new one, esp if you're going with white or black. oh and post pics of your new car and/or 3 month loaner :icon17: |
