No subbies on the list? Weird, but good.

I thought '09s have them... I could've sworn I read about an EDR in the manual somewhere.

We've had to have them in fire engines for a couple of years now. In some cases they can be a blessing and others a curse. I'm not sure how detailed the regular car ones are but for fire apparatus they pretty much tell you anything, who was buckled in, G forces, braking distance, speed, how hard you were braking ect, ect. You wreck a rig and kill someone the info they pull off that black box could potentially get you sued or a criminal trial, likewise it could save you from one.

When this starts causing problems I'll be going back to driving my 280z and 300zx as daily drivers. Technology is a slippery slope and sometimes we as humans go too far.

Just pull the fuse! haha.

I know it will not be that easy... but like anything I am sure guys will work around it even if they face fines.

I'm surprised we don't already have one, too.

Most cars already have a black box. The 350 and 370 both have EDR in the airbag system.
