98 Civic darted over three lanes clipping me on the tail end, did a 180...trying not to lock my brakes shooting accross three lanes backwards...jumping the curb and smashing into the Stater Bros. pillar:mad:

Grindkiezer 11-29-2012 11:55 PM

Time for a new body kit

axmea? 11-30-2012 12:11 AM

A 16 y/o girl was driving... but her mom has the car insured

Magic Bus 11-30-2012 01:12 AM

Sorry to see that, every one is okay I assume?

SoCalBoy 11-30-2012 01:20 AM

Yah I'm good, I was the only person in my car. The 16 y/o and her brother are fine just shookin up

axmea? 11-30-2012 01:21 AM

Whatever you do, push for a higher quote from the insurance company. Do your research on parts and labor. Don't let them low ball the parts and the labor. Double check on the frame and suspension. What a hassle.

I know I already started doing my research...there's something wrong w/my suspension I can hear and feel it along with some underbody damage

w0rM 11-30-2012 06:27 AM

ouch

Haboob 11-30-2012 07:30 AM

Ouch, wow.

It's no fun being side-swiped on the freeway.

Happened to me in my SRT. I didn't hit anything afterwards, thankfully, but the only part I remember of the ordeal (besides the initial swipe) was being 180 degrees staring at a silver Mercedes SLK and its driver wearing silver Aviators, then it was a blur again.

So weird how that happens.

GaleForce 11-30-2012 08:17 AM

That sucks. Good to hear everyone came out without injury.

Mike 11-30-2012 08:46 AM

sorry to see that! glad you are ok.

fullmonty 11-30-2012 09:03 AM

That sucks man, I hope everything works out for you

ssmoked 11-30-2012 09:17 AM

Anyone else come into this thread thinking "God damn, what did Tony do now?"

Sorry to hear about the Z dude

FastPaced 11-30-2012 09:28 AM

Take it to a reputable shop that will fight with the insurance for all new OEM parts. Glad you're ok.

I DID! I thought... AH CRAP....not THE "Smurf". I was about to call him to see what happened before the thread opened. I vote to rename thread.

Either way, sorry to hear about the accident. Good luck with insurance. Hopefully you will make out good in the end.

TheGreatOne 11-30-2012 09:55 AM

Oh that really sucks, glad everyone is ok though. I've lost control once, so fast but scary.

Did the 16yr old girl cry...as mean as it sounds that would make me feel better.

ShutokuZ 11-30-2012 10:04 AM

daym, sorry to hear and see that man.... Glad you and everyone else is ok though. What was the girl's reason for shooting over three lanes so fast?

enkei2k 11-30-2012 10:40 AM

16 year old darting over 3 lanes? with only her brother? with the car being insured under her mom? Does the brother have a license? Sounds like they took the car out for a joy ride or something, but I don't know the full details, just assuming. And you know what happens when you assume.

glad to hear you're safe though.

Apoc370z 11-30-2012 12:12 PM

This is what i am always afraid of when i am driving. I dont question my awareness to my surroundings but i cant say the same for other drivers. Especially when i take a one-lane canyon road to work and back.

Glad you are ok and hopefully your insurrance will take care of you

Im with you, there is only one "Smurf" and this is not it... sorry to hear about your Z tho

Montez 11-30-2012 01:55 PM

Oh man, that sucks. That's quit a bit of damage on both sides not including your under body damage, like some of the guys said find a good reputable place and don't let their insurance give you the run around...... Looks as if they will probably have to repaint the whole Smurfmobile.......

dP3NGU1N 11-30-2012 02:01 PM

That's no good. I'm glad you're alright. I hope you got a police report and everything. Don't take it easy on her just because she's a little girl. Don't want her to make up some BS and try to screw you over.

SoCalBoy 11-30-2012 04:29 PM

thanks everyone....for the smurf name I had already named it and had licensed plates made and everything. I join this forum to find out that the name is already taken so Im like DAMN!!! So the cars name will be changed cuz there is only one smurf and damn what a sweet ride that is.

cossie1600 11-30-2012 04:40 PM

Sucks man.

About the name, you can always change to Viagra

SoCalBoy 11-30-2012 04:47 PM

lol now it's gonna be called the car with no name....until I find a name

I guess the only good part that came out of it is that it forces me to start my body kit upgrade sooner and I get to drive around in a 2013 camaro for my rental car:happydance:
