370z revs
Hey guys,
Just wondering... Ive been watching lots of car vids lately and noticed that some vehicles when revd up rev up then down really quickly. When reving the Z i find that it revs down really slow. What causes the engine to rev so quickly on the downward cycle? D |

do you mean when you are reving it in neutral it takes a long time to rev down?

Well I do agree that while upshifting, the revs drop down a little slow when trying to get quick shifts, but not enough for me to buy a lightweight flywheel.

Part of the problem, especially on increasing revs, is the 370 engine control system. It limits how quickly the engine will accelerate for better emissions, MPG, and knock control.

Also rev down faster as well. Less rotating mass, but launching and driving are affected you will have to give the car more gas to get the revs up with a lighter flywheel. I don't know how our electronic gas pedal will handle that modification. I know with a standard link to the throttle body I had to do extra work to keep the car from dying going over bumps and launching with my light flywheel.
