Rims got stolen

Went to apartment parking garage this afternoon to see my baby and I found her on cinder blocks with the driver window borken. I was totally speechless :shakes head:...

Sorry to hear. Did you take pics?

DCNISMO 11-24-2012 07:13 PM

******** will steal anything in this area. Go check Craigslist to see if they are listed. Also check eBay.

ShutokuZ 11-24-2012 07:16 PM

Sorry to hear about that!!!! Fookers have nothing better to do, than steal other peoples stuff! I hope you find them, and beat the piss outa'um!

w0rM 11-24-2012 07:16 PM

With a spoon.

SouthArk370Z 11-24-2012 07:24 PM

Sorry to hear it. I kinda like the face/spoon suggestion above.

ShutokuZ 11-24-2012 07:31 PM

Get a 10 gauge shotgun, fill it full of rocksalt and blast away!

GraphiteZ 11-24-2012 08:08 PM

I am in Arlington, VA and my rims are stock 40th Anniversary rims. Just check craiglist and nothing is found. I will definitely ask the apartment management to pay for my loss.

Since the thief only put 1 stack cinder blocks on each side of the car right under the door so the front passenger side brake disc was on the ground as well, will there be any frame damage to my car?

shadoquad 11-24-2012 08:11 PM

Don't know about damage. Not surprised the wheels were stolen though. The Rays wheels have been a popular target for thieves. I'm sorry you're going through this. It sucks.

homeryansta 11-24-2012 08:23 PM

pictures?

Waiz 11-24-2012 08:27 PM

Oh man, :(

Sorry to hear. Your frame will be fine. Your brakes or hub will probably be but I'd still have the rotor put on a lathe to make sure.

Coon-azz 11-24-2012 08:45 PM

Been there more than once. Why I moved from NOVA. The last time, I caught them in the process. After they were arrested, nothing happened to them. They will continue to watch and wait for you to get new ones. Figure out what you are going to do.

Here is a pic. I shake my head everytime I look at it.:shakes head:

Naenyn 11-24-2012 09:04 PM

Wow =(

Did you not have those key'd lugs?

MJB 11-24-2012 09:05 PM

Did they steal anything from inside the car? Did you have wheel locks? I know wheel locks won't stop them but I'm just wondering how fast they could have done this.

BeemaaZ 11-24-2012 09:08 PM

I am really sorry for what happened to your 40th. Now file a comprehensive claim and get a set of Nismo rim.

frost 11-24-2012 09:23 PM

Agree with above ... painful to see

LakeShow 11-24-2012 09:25 PM

Ugh man, I feel your pain. That's hard to look at, not to mention they also broke into the car. Hopefully insurance will take care of it and take care of the damage and a new set of wheels.

rAiN 11-24-2012 09:37 PM

i know this could be random, but does your aparment complex have cctv at the entrance or elsewhere?
if they do, see if you can spot white lexus es, old model and license plate
xsg-6125 or xsz-6125.
yesterday a two random looking dudes in that car came to my neighborhood parking lot and parked right next to my car and i thought it was very suspicious so i remembered their plate. it also has yellow ricey foglight.
http://www.autogush.com/images/lexus-es-300-03.jpg
thats the model of the car, just incase so that you can spot them ease.

w0rM 11-24-2012 09:37 PM

If you ask me... this is your perfect opportunity to upgrade to some wheels you really like. Why not turn this into a positive and treat yourself to some killer Volks, Advans or something like that?

When my stereo get stolen out of my 350, I used the money and some extra cash to actually upgrade. I put in a better stereo, better speakers and a top of line alarm system. Made me feel better before my car was even fixed.

Probably no damage other than scratches. The frame is hard as a rock and, unless they slammed the rotor into the concrete, it should be OK. Both are easy enough to check if you have the equipment - most of the larger body shops will have a machine that can check for any frame warpage and every tire and alignment shop I've seen can check the rotor (when in doubt, toss it out; rotors aren't that expensive compared to how important they are).

GraphiteZ 11-24-2012 10:50 PM

Thanks for all the inputs. Any good body shop around Arlington, VA you guys know about?

enkei2k 11-24-2012 11:22 PM

smashing the windows too? damn thieves gotta always make things worse than they already are.

hope you get some surveillance camera information.

LMBmikeZ 11-24-2012 11:59 PM

Damn sorry to hear this dude hope everything turns around for you.

forza370z 11-25-2012 12:12 AM
