Are owners happy with HKS hi powered exhaust?

I'm looking to purchase an HKS hi powered exhaust and I was wondering if people were happy with the sound and the power gains? I want a exhaust that has a fairly loud note.

When you added the testpipes are you still able to pass inspection and was the exhaust loud enough or is that why you added the testpipes?

there's no way you pass any kind of smog check test with test pipes... if you do, then there is no 'spoon' i mean, test...

That's what I thought, but hfc should pass right?

I had test pipes and I failed inspection and we don't have emissions testing in the city I live in. Apparently it is written for VA removing any type of factory installed emissions equipment will cause you to fail. Whether or not said equipment is actually functioning properly it must be there. Bc my argument was if you don't test for it how would you even know if its working properly. And that didn't make a difference I still failed. So I had to get high flow cats then I passed. Which the Invidia's are only 200 cel and was the least restrictive HFC's I could find and probably would fail if we did have emissions testing haha.

Both HFC and TP are street illegal. However, with the non-fouler trick your car won't be throwing any error codes and hopefully will pass the inspection without being detected. Having said that, HFCs are more likely get passed because you won't smell strong fume smell like the TP does. I had FI HFC on my car and got passed every year.

As far as the HKS Hi Power, it's one of the best looking/sounding exhaust out there!

i love my hks exhaust, however if ur looking for a fairly loud exhaust, this might not be the best choice. i love the fact that its not a very loud exhaust unless u get on it.
