Best FOB ever!!!

Long story short my key spent over an hour in the washing machine as my work clothes soaked.
Finally realized what I did and thought my key was definitely destroyed as I pulled it out of elbow deep water
Sure enough walked over to the kitchen window pointed it at the car pressed the lock button and the lights went off.
Awesome job Nissan on the key lol over an hour in water and they still work

LOL, I never have! That's awesome!

(I'd replace the battery and put the fob in a bag of rice to absorb ALL the moisture you can, and take the key out too, I think it will rust)

Now that response is a perfect example of the benefit of this forum and the value of reading its postings. Kudos.

Happened to me. I can't really blame her, but while I was out, my gf picked up my jeans off the floor and just threw em into the wash without checking the pockets!

The key worked initially but come the next morning.. nothing. Not to scare you or anything, but I was unlucky. Put that fob into a bag of dry rice to absorb the moisture immediately

But be careful this time. Do let your gf know there is a key fob in the rice. Otherwise we'd be hearing another story about key fob being cooked but still works(and smell delicious) the second day. Or maybe not that lucky...

:roflpuke2:

Family, friends and GFs get just one screw up with the Z. After the second infraction.. see ya!

Walked into the ocean this summer with everything in my pockets (Was just relaxing and a friend pulled me in)

My phone was dead, but the keyfob kept going on like a champ.
An unappreciated champ, as I was too distraught over my phone.

It's still going strong after a week. Never even put it in rice. No rust on key no water even come out of there lol unbelievable. No signs of stress at all just looks extra clean now lol
